Tooly - it's very important to recognize the difference between the concepts of 'being the same' and 'answering to the same interests'. The point of protesting violently was to prove that the cops would be as bad as the violent protesters, or to protest peacefully and show how peaceful the police would be illustrate the respect (or lack thereof) the police have for G20 protests? I always thought that the point of protesting was a direct message, not an arrogant passive-aggressive 'who's better than who' display. Neither are truly effective. It's going to take the moderate masses using civil disobedience as a tool to express their frustrations and lack of confidence (in the powers that be and their decisions) for things to truly change.

OTTAWA — A strong earthquake rattled Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec Wednesday afternoon. The epicentre of the quake was at Val des Bois, Que., according the the United States Geological Survey. The quake measured 5.5 and occurred at a depth of 19 kilometres, the USGS said. There were reports the temblor was felt as far away as Columbus, Ohio and Flint, Michigan. How did you ever theink there could be a debate, ollie.
