  1. Play as many as you can and eventually one will stand out. Have some restraint and wait and your guitar will find you, flip. Buy a guitar too soon and it might just wind up being cheap and crappy.
  2. what a long heartbeat. Slowly squeezing, squirting through a siezed sleuse?
  3. QC is lower with the MIM fenders but that just means you have to play 10 times the number of USA made fenders to get the right one. FWIW, you will also find some surprising luck with Squier these days. For less money you often get more guitar. If you can find a Tokai from the late 70's early 80's you'll also be in luck, as well as a number of other fender designs from the 80's (schechter, ESP)...but I'm sure this discussion could go on for days (It's been going on for years around the internet). $500 could get you a great used guitar and with enough patience a real gem of a starter axe.
  4. I got there and thought 'No surprise somebody's playing a dead concert' then I thought 'wait...that's a band...' If Jon's gonna bring that monstrous amp to shows you guys had better play heavy. Zappa would be great.
  5. only, merely...quantity not quality. If it were quality, Myles would be pocket protectored (crowned) king nerd.
  6. the banner ad is for 'remove criminal records' when I read this. awesome.
  7. the REAL alpha nerd would be 1337 forever. Now you're just a geek.
  8. Why not get your old guitar synth player?
  9. Too bad Zorn's out but fantastic closer. Tomasz Stanko will be the highlight of the day if you dig that ECM/Euro thing. I think that Canada Day will be killer in O Town. (Elliot Brood for JazzFest? eek!)
  10. "sir, if you want to smoke you'll have to do it 20 feet farther" "then wheel me over, bitch"
  11. I'm so glad I got over myself and kept watching this show. The plot twists overshadow any of the admittedly subtle (yet well done (for cable)) set ups and photography.
  12. To each his own I guess. I wouldn't put my genitals anywhere near boiling water. For some reason I thought I'd clarify those are not connected and find Ms. funnypants beat me to it. Certainly keep boiling water away from your genitals, folks... re: vinegar, white vinegar for the most part is not food. PC's 'the natural' white vinegar is the closest thing to a fit-for-consumption white vinegar. Dancingbear: thanks for the support.
  13. THREE WAY GARLIC PASTA WITH BEANS AND PEPPERS? awesome. Don't fucking like that? Don't fucking eat meat? nope. Full of ice cream. I should have never clicked that link again.
  14. Hopefully you have it fixed by now so he doesn't see this post.
  15. Why don't you just come out and say it?
  16. Massena Hydro Dam - Of course! I remember going to the eel ladder as a kid.
  17. Serious folks...boiling water. You shouldn't have to make an excuse to fancy up your genitals.
  18. If the horse wasn't enjoying herself wouldn't she just stomp on his head?
  19. I'm sure they would. Are you looking for a birthday present or a happy ending?
  20. Beluga are still in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, but numbers are dwindling. still...just cause they can doesn't mean that they do/have/would/will.
  21. hot water or steam should loosen or dissolve it...grab a spatula and scrape that stuff off.
  22. Of course they probably could but why would they want to? Jeez.
