would really love to get ahold of a copy of the first (self titled) One Step cd owned one and loved it once upon a time but it wandered away out of my collection one night were the first band I really followed all over the place, first started seeing them in some Italian restaurant in Toronto (College Street?) with about 20 other freaks who all saw something they really liked (watching Jamie tear it up back then on the Moog was good times indeed)

for any fans of Springsteen near the Hammerton you might want to check out Peter Case at Pepperjacks Wednesday night (<- link to Case's bio) Springsteen has said in the past (Rolling Stone mag) that the music he was listening to predominately was coming from Case... described as "an important American singer/songwriter specializing in the flat-pick guitar style and semi-autobiographical stories of drifters delivered in a narrative style."... personally unfamiliar but sounds like a musician's musician, am intrigued

I think about lots of things... some of those thoughts are indeed hazardous

kinda have to agree there Ollie is why I only caught an hour or two the first times I watched ("Meanwhile, back in America..." hm... wonder whats on History Channel:) been watching more of that though, have found the "Meanwhile" segments are usually fairly short and also tie into the story later on in the episode would like to see a German equivalent documentary (in English)

actually the last of the Crow Indian war chiefs... and yeah, that dude Joe Medicine Crow is totally amazing, he woke up something in my soul with those stories still lovin the series... been a WWII documentary buff ever since I got hooked on playing the Panzer General strategy games a decade back and this one is the best yet... too much went on during that war to fit into a one or two hour run down, 14 hours is still really just skimming the surface but goes deeper than anything else I've seen ps. sorry bout the earlier misinformation bouche but there are actually 7 episodes

do a lot of try before you buy type Oink-ing (more just checking things out, new stuff to me)... have only only burned a few albums I already bought (most actually bought a few times over) and some bootlegs downloaded a couple of Slip things but would much rather have the CD in my collection (once the cash and opportunity come along) when I was a kid we'd tape each other's albums or grab stuff off the radio, really not much difference when you think about it... think easy download access motivates bands/labels to produce material that exceeds the "one hit wonder" category... blew a lot of money back in the day on albums I liked a song on the radio from only to find out the rest of the album was weak to terrible

no wonder Tony Levin acted so stand off-ish once he got a good look at my pupils

glad I made it up to Ottawa to experience that infamous locale thanks for the memories to the lot of ya! it was great to feel so at home while away from home

if it was $200 to see Neil at the Air Canada Center I'd agree it was price gouging... world famous artist + small venue = bigger price

naw... you'll figure it out... its all good have only seen an hour or two each of 3 separate episodes (missing episodes in between) and have enjoyed everything I've seen... looking forward to completing the viewing in time its not "24" at all (I already know how the story ends)

if ya don't want a $250 orange silk tie, don't buy one... but you can't knock people for selling em for that price if they have trouble keeping the shelves stocked... particularly if they're good people who do good things on the planet Massey Hall seats 2800 people... Molson Amphitheater seats 16,000 - 18,000... Air Canada Center 19,000 assume it'd be roughly a $50 ticket in a big venue performing at a venue that holds roughly one sixth of the capacity of the venues he usually plays Neil is averaging the same take in, if not less, by charging $275 as he would playing the large halls... that and the show is in a MUCH cooler environment, like night and day I didn't buy tickets because I couldn't afford them right now... that said, I would've happily paid the price to see Neil at Massey Hall... even if I could afford tickets to see Neil at ACC or Molson Amph I wouldn't pay for it because seeing Neil in a stadium isn't how I'd want to see him anymore (been there done that a lot of times for Neil, imagine how HE feels about stadiums) he's not Judas Priest (whom I would still go see at ACC or Molson Amph)

saw Feist play in a bar here in town 6 years ago for $5 (with 2 other people on the bill) so I'd still call her more struggling than established... well maybe she's fairly comfortable now but she hasn't been filling stadiums for the better part of a decade its only artists I have an emotional attachment to that I get upset about selling out (neither Wilco or Feist, though I do enjoy some of Leslie's music)

nope, downloaded a copy a while back but haven't pulled out my screwdriver and solder gun as am happy with my cable service but read the costumer reviews on Amazon, the only unfavorable reviews are from prudes saying "stealing from the cable company is still stealing! this book should not be allowed to be in print!" will make a project of it one day when I have my own home service (sharing right now)
