  1. * see second except from the Slash biography posted yesterday to paraphrase: screaming maids for hiding behind when being chased naked and bleeding through the courtyard by hallucinations
  2. ha ha ha ha ha those excerpts are great thanks
  3. guess I'm just too used to happy go lucky Jerry off of Seinfeld reruns in any case the "my 2 year old dressed up as Stephen Colbert" bit HAD to be a dig I took it as professional rivalry but could be wrong, enjoyed it one way or the other Jerry sure covered all the bases this week
  4. classic title... Colbert's phenomenal... will have to pick that up sometime am constantly awed by the continued quality material on his show (on a side note, think Jerry Seinfeld and Jon Stewart have a personal hate on for each other... when Jer was on Jon's show they took several non-smiling jabs at each other... best one was when Stewart said his kid wanted to dress up as a bee for halloween and Seinfeld threw back that his 2 year old went out as Stephen Colbert... lol)

I too felt some outrage (assuming it was directed towards in a different direction though) less social resources, more guns... more gangsters, more slums

    Tax Cuts!

same as the last GST cut, not really much good to you unless you're making a large purchase and'll probably cost you extra from another angle was a good article in the Torona Star the other day about why its not really a great economic move (though Ottawa can easily afford it right now) but makes sense politically for the Conservatives (but isn't boosting their ratings as much as was hoped for)
  9. Wills, don't you find you're constantly skipping every other tune? I do... being fairly liberal minded could handle leaving "Estimated", "Playing", "Jack Straw" in the rotation while skipping every other second song is nice though that the last 2 disc are almost all Jerry tracks
  10. proof america should be less GWB more Las Vegas wow, score! love the Mike Watt... perfect match up there... anyone I know who's seen Iggy in the past 8 years has given it a big thumbs up

  14. The Republic of Kugelmugel "After a dispute with the Austrian government over the construction of his spherical house, Austrian artist Edwin Lipburger declares his property an independent nation and renames it the Republic of Kugelmugel. Lipburger is sentenced to jail for his refusal to pay taxes and insistence on printing his own stamps. However, a pardon from the Austrian president saves him from serving time." 17. "My favorite story is going to a concert at Winterland, and this happened sometime pretty early, like in '74, '73,†Franken said. “I took [something], and there was a girl on top of a guy's shoulders. Danced to the whole thing on top of the guy's shoulders. I'm ashamed to say it, but I spent almost the entire concert looking at her breasts. She had a tight, like leotard kind of thing on. I remember just, like, you know how you can look at something for hours? I'm really not sure how long I looked at 'em. It was really, very pleasant listening to the music, and she was dancing on top of the guy's shoulders. He must have been very strong, and it was great. One of the best moments of my life, or one of the best several hours of my life." Link - jambands.com article "One More Saturday Night" With Al Franken
