  1. I've got one invite to STMusic.. first to PM me gets it
  2. a buddy of mine has both a waffles and a STMusic account and he says there is a greater selection of music on waffles (though I suppose what he really means is that there is a great selection of music he's interested in on waffles). other than that very little bit of info I really don't know if one is really superior to the other.. just that waffles got most of the hype after oink closed so it became the community everyone really wanted to join.
  3. I'd agree.. and as much as I want a waffles account stmusic is certainly better than nothing.. and I'm sure it's largely just a matter of time for the users and database to build though.
  4. hey everyone.. all done now.. I'll let you know when I get more
  5. it's all good Jake.. I sent you one.. I've got three left
  6. hey everyone.. I've got 5 invites to stmusic.org I can give out.. the first 5 to PM me their email addresses get them (and I would love to trade one for a waffles invite)
  7. Around the world, around the world Around the world, around the world Around the world, around the world Around the world, around the world repeat 18 times
  8. S is definitely that Tomoyasu Hotei track, but I guess they are using the other name for it: "(Theme for) Shin Jingi Naki Tatakai" K is Kosha Nostra Theme by John Murphy (you can hear it on the Snatch soundtrack, it plays behind scenes with Boris 'The Blade' Yurinov) you can hear it at the end of this scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1xPiBB3-DM and M is Mundian To Bach Ke by Punjabi MC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMR2MGuiq9s
  9. There is a multi-volume collection out there called Saint Germain des Pres Cafe (up to Volume 9 by now) which is nothing but that St. Germain styled jazz house. They have them all at Amazon.ca but I'm sure you can find them through other sources as well.
  10. oh yeah.. also Terry Gillespie, and if he's still around, Vince Halfhide (what a guitarist!)
  11. thanks for the plug Brad I was always a big fan of Drew Nelson.. wicked slide guitar player back in the day.. rumour had it he hit the nose candy pretty hard and dropped out of the scene for a while. All I know is he never go the kudos that Tony got and he doesn't play much anymore. Other guys I'd check out would be "Dr. Dave" Foster, Rick Fines and/or Suzie Vinnick (though they don't play in town much anymore.. they tour all over now) and Scotty Doubt. And though they aren't really blues, but rather Zydeco music, the Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo are amazing!
  12. Nov 1, 1974 UK - Everything I Own - Ken Boothe US - You Haven’t Done Nothin - Stevie Wonder Aus - The Night Chicago Died - Paper Lace

  16. I'm ok with these bands not getting back together.. there is something to be said about artists moving on for whatever reasons and sometimes getting back together is worse.. with that being said.. I beg you please Eric B and Rakim.. get back together and save the world for the shitty hip hop that's plaguing our youth!
  17. hey man.. hope the b-day was awesome!
  18. I'm painting, I'm painting again. I'm painting, I'm painting again. I'm cleaning, I'm cleaning again. I'm cleaning, I'm cleaning my brain. Pretty soon now, I will be bitter. Pretty soon now, will be a quitter. Pretty soon now, I will be bitter. You can't see it 'til it's finished I don't have to prove...that I am creative! I dont' have to prove...that I am creative! All my pictures are confused And now I'm going to take me to you.
  19. It's about time they got up on the Archive. If you like what you hear you can catch these guys for free every Thursday night at The Clocktower Brewhouse, Bank and Pretoria, Ottawa. Starting in August though it will only be the first Thursday of every month (still free though).
  20. the only difference between the US and UK versions is the ending (and more specifically where the ending actually ends). If you aren't afraid of a spoiler (or have seen the film) you can find out the difference here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0435625/alternateversions I saw the UK version and loved the film!
  21. I think a bad pfunk show is a lot like bad pizza.. it's still pizza man! I don't think it was their best show at all, but it was still a lot of fun and grooved my ass off, so I was happy.
