Here's the details: "The medical humanitarian organization I work for (www.dignitasinternational.org) is having a booth set up to promote our downtown 12 hour fundraising 'spinathon' (on stationary bikes) event on June 23 at Dundas Square to raise funds so people can access life-saving HIV medications in Africa. Last time I checked, MTV meant Music Television. I guess I expected some music.

Why didn't anyone warn me what this show was all about?!? I just had to sit through an entire hour of MTV trout-talk, laughing and clapping on cue, like a good little mindless drone. Sacrifice, so that I can go to CTMF without remorse over the totally lost Slip tour. We got three songs, as predicted, and it felt stifled, as predicted. It sounded weird in the Masonic Temple; almost vacuous. Did anyone catch it on TV?

BTW - does Kitchener have fluffy pink clouds for everyone to ride around on, or is that just for friends of Miranda?

It was an amazing event. There were 100 bright-eyed and sweet-voiced kids up on stage singing at one point and at another, I saw Deeps sharing the lyric sheet for "Wish Upon a Star" with a famous opera singer... you should have seen this guy's pompadour!!! Beautiful. Congratulations to Shain and family for continuing to do such great work... Ali's Journey has over tripled their charity sponsorship since last year!!!
