  1. Yeah, that's what Tom said Bring it on C-Towns!!! Glad to see the response here... looks like we might be in for a DOOZIE!!! Off to Rotate and will report back.
  2. I can check Rotate tomorrow... will post here if they've got any. Rubberdinghy... how many you looking for?
  3. Hey Kids, There's a Dave Lauzon show in the works for Friday, October 26th, 12:30am - 2:30am (so I guess, technically, the show's on the 27th ) at a venue super close to the Docks. This would be the WEEN after party of the century!!! (followed by the after, after party at 1017 of course) Cover would be $5-$8 with costume or WEEN ticket stub, but I need to gage folks' level of interest, to see if it can be pulled off. Please post if you'd come to this show. Thanks, the Marginator
  4. Congratulations Shain! This is a huge step! As much as I love you for your wonderful self, I can't help but consider the fringe benefits of having a friend stationed in London. Whoot, whoot!!! (still, nothing will beat Leeds!) Hey! Does that mean an unemployed stiff like myself might have a chance at a couch to surf in the land of Bikes and Buds over the next few months??
  5. It's in Zone C at 1116 King West. It's part of a showcase called Insomnia being held in the Works and Emergency Services building. Holyfuck is due to go on at 9pm - 10:30pm, according to the program I picked up last night. I hope to make it there on my journey through the night... maybe I'll work my way back from there.
  6. For those who haven't heard of it, the Word on the Street is the largest literary festival in North America and it takes place this Sunday in Cities across Canada. There are often VERY good deals on books and magazines; and authors on hand to sign new releases. The line up for Toronto is absolutely incredible this year, if you're into this kind of thing. I will be working as a production assistant for the day, so let me know if you're coming and we can slide into the VIP room to schmooze with some of the following authors: Scotiabank Bestsellers Stage Craig and Marc Kielburger Vincent Lam Kenneth Oppel Melanie Watt Richard B. 7. Spoke to Mr.S and I'll go with him either way... not sure if you need to make the change. Been listening to a few tunes... it'll definitely be interesting to see them live. Thanks Mike!
  8. Oh wait! Please retract my entry... I just realized this is the same night as WEEN!!!
  9. Any chance I can hone in on those extras? I don't know the band yet but I'm still riding the unemployment train and would love to be able to get out on the cheap (or free!). Many thanks!
  10. Lee's Palace is a 2 minute walk from my house. While Pepper Jacks would be a fucking killer venue for Miss Jones, I can't say I'm too disappointed with the proximity of this location. You're welcome to park/drink at mine Willy. Here she is at Langarado... definitely not the prettiest Mama, but boy can she Boogie!!!
  11. I was there Friday too and busted right up to the front of the stage. Fuck Yeah! Mixmaster Mike fucking loved me!!! and I had total eye contact with all of them and even got thrown into a mosh pit for a few minutes!!! It was just as I'd dreamed it would be since high school (except for the grey hair and shit).
  12. Cully's told me that you can work wonders with hard wood Prosty... I think you should be OK.
