The show was fab, though the audience was lacking in any support from all you cool-cats. Amy started off with some solo beauties (including old-school STARS) and then brought up her "dirty strangers", including Dan Whitely, Darcy Yates and the keys guy from Paso Mino... a regular cornucopia of awesomeness!!! Del would have creamed his already droopy-droored jeans!!!

From Torontoist: We have good news for fans of Joel Plaskett Emergency. Tomorrow (Wednesday, May 2), Joel's going to be shooting a video for "Fashionable People," the first video from his latest album, Ashtray Rock, and everyone's invited to take part. All you've gotta do is show up from 5-8 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic School (at 50 Curzon Street, near Queen and Leslie; here's a Google Map). It's all-ages, and you have to wear black, white, or gray, and no colours (jeans are apparently okay, though). 1 2 3 4 this ain't. According to the info we got sent, "Anybody who appears in the video will be rewarded with a special gift from Joel." Score.

Anyone else ever read "Lamb" by Christopher Moore? Mr. Slippery got me a copy and I'm finishing it just on time for Easter. I laughed, I cried!

One of the best times of my life for so many reasons. Remember the anti-drum circle madness? There was a strict no-drum policy, to which none of us were adhering, and the security guy on the 4x4 was trapping Wookies in his headlights left, right and center. I was trying my best to hide behind a tree with a Djembe in hand; from out of nowhere, Jarod comes running up behind me, slaps my drum with all his might, and does a diving tuck roll into the bush. The 4x4 reeled and flooded me with blinding full drum exposure. With a laughing scream, I ran like I haven't since, ditched my drum into a shrub and nonchalantly joined a peaceful, drunken campfire. Whew! One of a million LYS stories, and I've only been one time!!! I wonder what adventures Oro will provide?

Ah, which way to the bar? Hands down, this has been one of my favourite days of the year, for the past two years. If only I'd known about it sooner!

They put on an awesome show in Vegas last Halloween, when Vegoose announced that they were canceling their final night. Fuck were they good! Basher and I were chatting with them as well and they were the most down to earth guys. They said they'd absolutely LOVE to play up in Canada. We mentioned Come Together and they were totally digging it. Let's bring them up!!!
