  1. Bump, possible sale pending but not complete so I don't want this to get buried too deep just in case it doesn't work out.
  2. Sold via Kijiji. Yeah, I was looking forward to seeing some friends and having some fun with the little guy but with rain tomorrow and potentially having other things on the go Sunday it didn't seem worth it to go just a few hours tonight and maybe a short time tomorrow. Have fun...
  3. Bump, will sell for early bird price, $150 for the pair.
  4. I just checked, there's lots of Tix left for Depeche Mode Aug 27th if anyone is interested...
  5. We are considering selling our passes. Didn't get early birds, they were $100 each. Should be a fun weekend and we'll likely use them if no one wants them but if so then you can have some fun in our stead. 2 available, would rather not split them up but would consider it. PM or bobbyweir@hotmail.com
  6. I have a pair of tix for Fleet Foxes at Massey Hall August 4th, Left Balcony Row C seats 59/60. This will likely be one of the best shows of the summer, unfortunately I can't make it. $39.50 per is face, service charges were $9.50 per which makes it almost a $50 ticket. I would like $80 for the pair. Show is sold out. bobbyweir@hotmail.com
  7. Have had a listen to all 3 recently and I think that they would all be doable and would come off great!
  8. Howdy Y'all Bobby & The Midnites--I Want To Live In America If you ever needed a reason to leave Canada this is it... ----
  9. You should be able to get a 4 star for $75 or less(USD) on Priceline, it is usually $10 cheaper than Hotwire or so. Probably a 2-3 star for around $50 or maybe a bit less. If you're going to do priceline make sure that you start out as early in advance as possible as you can only bid once per day on the same area and star rating. Also, you can't do priceline same day so bear that in mind as well. Is the shackup with a girl, boy, cougar, milf, jailbait, granny, shemale, mammal, reptile or amphibian? Please report back with all the gory details...
  10. You should be good for MMW(it's always been the same setup so there's no reason why it won't be this year) but the Charlie Hunter shows are at the Pilot Tavern as far as I know so that won't likely work out.
  11. "If I had to explain, you wouldn't understand..."
  12. kijiji would be a decent call as well, nothing listed at the moment though.
  13. Howdy! I have 2 mailorders available for Star Lake June 18. They are in section 9, row ff. $100 US for the pair or equivalent in CAD. I'll eat paypal fees and split on shipping via expresspost. pm or bobbyweir@hotmail.com
  14. Our mailorders for the first leg came last week. I'm guessing that the second leg(August shows) will not come for awhile.
  15. Looks amazing, thanks a lot for the heads up...
  16. Beatnik has always treated me pretty well, they have new as well as used and also a lot of NOS(new old stock) records last time I was there. Within a block of that shop there is another that only does used and they have a pretty good selection as well. Not sure of the name of it but It's on the same side of the street in the uphill direction as I recall. Here's a link for Beatnick: BEATNICK! I would also be interested to hear what other places in town are good to hit up...
  17. I read an article recently(pretty sure it was in Uncut) regarding the Beatles in Mono. The general idea is that the bulk of their catalog was conceived in Mono in terms of how it should sound and then recorded and mixed in Mono so therefore the original versions sound better. There was reference to the fact that The Beatles "thought in Mono" so given all of this, the Mono versions are the best way to experience their catalog. Haven't heard it myself but there are reissues that are about to come out, Mono versions I would assume included.
  18. We hit up High Sierra last year, if you're staying for the weekend camping gear for sure and otherwise sunblock, water and beer would be recommended. Pants optional...
  19. Not much to report really but apparently they are working on a SMMD album at present and that there will be a couple of Slip shows in the summer. No idea if it'll be High Sierra again or what. Not much happening though from what I heard, they're all doing the side project thing for the most part and that's about it. Much as I'm not really into SMMD I'd definitely check them out if they were in the neighbourhood.
  20. Sorry, my bad it looks like Ticketmaster still has tix, Soundscapes must have sold out of their allotment. Probably best to grab them if you want to go...
  21. Looks like this one's sold out. Too bad, I would have liked to have gone, the last one was fun for sure. Soundscapes(great CD shop if you're into that type of thing) has a good list online of upcoming shows, good snapshot of good stuff happening in TO: Soundscapes Music Calendar/Tix
  22. I would suggest that you try priceline out if you aren't picky about the exact location where you stay in the city. Last time I made it up there I paid around $60 US and got Les Suites in the market, it was a pretty impressive room for the buck. The exchange isn't great but you should still be able to stay for around half price.
  23. Went for Red Rocks, Shoreline, Gorge, Darien and SPAC. Ended up with 2 lawns for Darien.
