StaggerLee
A couple of the veternarian students at my school told me the other day that dogs respond best to names and commands with the letter 's' in them. That said, if I were to get a dog today I think I'd name him Trigger.

mattyp
Our dog's name is Nugget. He had that name when we adopted him from the shelter. Liked it so much we stuck with it. Supposedly his name was Lucky, but the people at the shelter changed it when he arrived there.
LJFH
Well, first night with new puppy went awesome. He was a good boy! Sniffed the entire house, tore apart his first chew toy (one of those rope thingies) tried to eat a few rocks and then went to bed. All in all, I have NO idea why those people would have given him up. What a good doggie. The only thing he needs are some really DURABLE chew toys and a bit of obedience school...although we discovered he already knows how to sit, lie down and shake paw. I LOVE HIM ALREADY!! We decided to keep the name the shelter had....he responds to it and it's different, so we'll keep it Crosby. Not my first choice, but it suits him. LJFH
his name right now is Crosby. That's cute I guess... Only if he smokes a pipe and barks "crooner" tunes... Aloha' date=' Brad[/quote'] Funny thing is, we kept the name Crosby...because it so suits him. He sings (well, howls sorta) when he gets excited! It's so cute.
