TheGoodRev
Holy shit, is this ever good. I expected it to be 90's-era three-chord Neil Young (a la Mirror Ball), something I'd enjoy but isn't particularly accessible. This is awesome though. I wasn't sure how the trumpet would figure in there, but so far it's awesome, the 100 voices are great too. I'm on the third track and it's killer. SteveThe Owl
Just put it on. Duuuuuuuuuude!  Yeah, I'm buying this -- only because I know commercial radio is seriously going to under-play this -- Neil might not really need my money, but I'd rather he get it than a lot of other people.Thanx for the link, bouche! You're my superhero today! An Hour Later... Listening to it for a second time. Jaimoe
It reminds me of Greendale structurally and sonically.
StoneMtn
I'm no musician, and don't know what you mean by "structurally and sonically", but I definitely get the feel of Greendale when I listen to this; for sure.
Jaimoe
Interesting that Neil, on this release and Greendale, seems to be abandoning guitar solos - he seems more interested in layered guitar fills.
