Booche
I don't think anyone is saying they don't like the Pens vs Rangers matchupFair enough.I am also intrigued to see how the Philly-MTL series plays out. This could be some wide open hockey!

Booche
Which Hab is gonna level him? I dont think he played too much in the first series but if he happens to get ice-time against the Habs you can bet on it being Komisaurus.
dave-O
And here I'm thinking SJ-Dal will be the most exciting series of them all. Dallas played some wicked high tempo hockey against Anaheim. Det-Col should be decent too, always is, I just find Detroit rather boring to watch most nights.
Hal Johnson
Dallas the team to beat in the west Dave-o? For serious, they look good.
TheSloth
I didn't get a chance to watch much of the Stars vs Ducks.Honestly I loathe both francises but I'll probably be leaning towards the Stars.I think my enjoyment of the Sharks vs Stars series will be obfuscated by my hatred for sports teams coming out of California and Texas. dave-O
The West is really tough to call. Both Dallas and Colorado looked incredible for the majority of the first round. Both teams have that great mix of youth and experience. Colorado looks like they found a gawd damned time machine for Forsberg and Foote! And I think it was Jaimoe that predicted it, but Ruslan Salei might be the acquisition of deadline day.SJ has choked too many times, all perpetual chokers eventually have a year where everything goes right (see Senators, Ottawa har har). Why not this year for SJ? They were killer down the stretch but inconsistent against the Flames... granted the Flames are the most bi-polar team in the NHL. I think SJ has their rhythm back.I personally don't like Detroit's chances, but you can NEVER count them out.I'm going to stick with my original picks of a SJ-Colorado west final. But I half expect to get both of those wrong! The East is tough too, but because of the equal level of mediocrity. Every team has obvious faults. I like the Rangers and Flyers (as long as they pound Mtl from the offset and don't let them use their speed). I don't think Pittsburgh is quite ready for prime time. Hal Johnson
When asked which of his brothers would triumph, Eric Staaled and simply replied Staal. Staal would go on to say Staal has the edge on Staal in height, but Staal is a little fleeter of foot. Staal also mentioned that Staal and Staal are both fierce competitors but that ultimately only one Staal can prevail. Staal.
