Freak By Night Posted January 22, 2009 Report Share Posted January 22, 2009 Anyone watching?I lost interest in the all-star game about 25 years ago.I find the pomp and circumstance surrounding the event somewhat entertaining, and it's great that they're tying it in with les Canadiens 100th anniversary and all that, but I likely won't watch the game.I'd rather watch (for example) a Phoenix vs. Columbus regular season game than the all-star game. Baseball is probably the one sport where the players can go "all-out" and not have to worry about it jeopardizing their careers though.Hockey and football are a joke because the intensity of the game sucks.Basketball should and could be better, but as it stands now, they refuse to play D. It's sickening.The best all-star games are still MLB's and the CHL Prospect's game, and sometimes the CHL all-star games are good.
