Velvet
As our priceline bids increase I'm wondering about just booking a place straight up for the Hip show in Montreal. Any suggestions on a good cheap place to stay near Metropolis?

Blane
Or do it cheap and a bit further (take cabs and still save money), but stay in a great place for getting food.http://www.casadelpopolo.com/contents/hotel
ersh
The econolodge/st dominique is REAL bad for break ins to your vehicle, if you choose that. Leave nothing of value in your car and pre order a new side window. I sadly speak from many experiences.

Ours are always doubles.$64 isn't badWhat planet are you from? It's downtown MTL!
MattyC
I use these two sites before trying priceline. it gives a rough idea on where to start bidding. http://biddingfortravel.yuku.com/forums/99/t/Canada-Qu-bec-Montr-al-Qu-bec-City.html http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showforum=166&
ollie
How is a two hundred dollar room for under a hundred bucks in any way sucky? Most hotels are much less than $200 with gov't or AAA rates.Anyway, I just noticed the deals aren't as sweet as they used to be is all. questcequecest?
ever try hotwire?http://www.hotwire.com/No. Is it better than Priceline?better or different... you state the location and they give you a few price range options. my former employer encouraged us to use this, and I always had success finding decent places. phorbesie
i just got a room in albany and one in worcester for 45 or so (plus fees) and todd got a 5-star in amsterdam for 60. definitely not sucking!
Booche
Most hotels are much less than $200 with gov't or AAA rates.Ooooooooh, that 15% discount sure comes in handy. Dont give me your circular arguments boy. I invented those! In conclusion, Priceline does not suck and the deals are as sweet as they have always been (unless you want to gripe over 9 bucks between a 55 dollar room in downtown MTL and a 64 dollar room at the Sheraton in downtown MTL).
