bradm
The 2010 International Chicken-Rib Cookoff starts this Wednesday, June 23, and runs until Sunday, June 27. It also overlaps nicely with the first several days of the Ottawa Jazz Festival, so I'm planning on spending several lunches this week stocking up on barbecue and checking out mid-day shows like Triage on Thursday, and Two x Three on Friday.Aloha,Brad

Freak By Night
I went and got a pulled pork sandwich. It was excellent as always. Didn't catch the name of the vendor - I was too busy laughing at the protesters from PETA!

Ms.Huxtable
I did a 5 km run this morning and the route I take has the final stretch going down Sparks Street. I had forgetten this was going on and let me tell you, when you're gasping for air and all you have to breath is BBQ smoke, it isn't so nice. That being said..... MMMmmmmm Ribfest! RobL
I always go to camp 31 for my pulled pork. I have tried them all no one can beat them in my opinion. It's the sauce for me. Has a sweet tangy taste. and the pork has it's soft and tough parts. Just delicious. Went yesterday in the rain to avoid lineups and got my pound. I don't like the buns they use so i go to either direnzio's or luciano's and get my own buns with my pound of pulled pork.

Ms.Huxtable
If you Ottawa folk like pulled pork, I have never tasted anything better than the pulled pork sandwich offered at The Piggy Market off of Richmond Road. It's drip-down-your-arm-need-ten-napkins good (served on art-is-in bread and there's blue cheese on it!)Not only is it the best pulled pork sammy I've ever had, but it's the best SANDWICH I ever had.
