AD
Do a top ten list with 7.5 albumsToo early for me too. Although release dates don't mean that much to me anymore.

Freak By Night
Some intriguing choices listed here, I'll have to give a listen to some of these. I think I have more of a mainstream taste of music than a lot of you. And lately I've re-discovered a lot of older tunes, which has delayed my listening of newer stuff. I'll be back near the end of December with a list of my faves!

AD
Well I hope for your sake the disappointments are Band Of Horses and Vampire Weekend as both albums are shite to my ears and the BSS record is super-duper-strong.
Schwa.
I propose that at the very beginning of the year we start to compile a list of our favourite "Releases" and then at the end of said year, evaluate and review them 2 cents.

Jaimoe
I can't get into the new BSS album except for a few tracks. Same with BOH's latest, which is a letdown compared to their last album.
YearsAlongTheSea
I forgot about the new BSS and The National's High Violet. Definitely need to add those to the list...

zero
Definitely agree (hard not to) about The National's, have to admit this is the first New Pornographers I've ever liked (although it's prog poppishness and lovey dovey lyrics suit my Golden Dogs sensibility), have to agree that Four Tet's is a sublimely good album.Gotta agree about Zeus, disagree about Collett. BSS come on fuhgedaboutit.
AD
Ra Ra Riot is American. The National is pure poo. Would like to hear that new Golden Dogs, have only heard 1 or 2 songs.

NewRider
My disappointment so far is Deer Tick - Black Dirt Sessions. I think it's the only album of theirs I don't like.Agreed. Not sure what happened there. My list (so far) is pretty similar to yours. There still is rarely a day in the week I don't listen to all of Titus Andronicus's The Monitor. I really like The National's album too.
