MarcO
.... at least around here, it seems. From the mailing list: "The band will be taking a break from North American touring in 2004. Our Bowery Ballroom shows in November will be our last full sound+light nights for a while, so we hope you can spend Thanksgiving with us. Now, I'm really bummed about that Hamilton Casbah gig falling through! What's up with tND?
jon.
I had heard from a mutual friend that tND boys were going to be hanging it up...if not for good, then for a while at least. ..Could be the end of tND???
secondtube
i've heard on american boards (where everyone has a best friend who's a member's brother, bands manager) and its been pretty much the same word. too bad, they are really doing well in the states. larry jr.
I'm guessing they read Kung's earlier thread on the drug scene and realized their music didn't mean anything anymore. Way to go people On the other hand, if they really are calling it quits for a while or for good, that sucks

Maybe we could add 'em to my (proposed) bill for NYE at Casino Rama with STS9 and David Byrne! That's the stuff.

As if you would put the New Deal in this category. I'd say if they're taking a break now it's because the Horse wore off and they looked up from their instruments to see this guy:
