Ms.Huxtable Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Thinking back to all the television series that you’ve seen over the years, which one had the best final episode? I was a pretty big M*A*S*H fan and cried during their last episode.
bradm Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The Mary Tyler Moore show's last episode was pretty good. Aloha, Brad
bouche Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 I can't think of any other finales that got me excited other than cheers and seinfeld. I think cheers was way better though. I pick cheers.
Mr. Musicface Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Okay, here come my geek-stripes - for the last episode of Star Trek TNG ("All Good Things"), we set up our buddies' basement (3 old high school friends renting a house together) with two 27 inch TVs, full-on stereo and chairs and couches oriented in different directions so everyone could see one or the other TV. It was a truly emotional experience, I cried and everything. I also cried at the end of the last movie (those who have seen it will know where I mean.) (Oh, I am so very VERY lame.) Peace, Mr. M.
bradm Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Making myself seem pretty geeky, I thought the last episode of Babylon 5 was pretty good, too. Aloha, Brad
rubberdinghy Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The best has yet to come. The finale of CBC Hockey Night in Canada this year as the Sens hoist the cup!!! OK, OK...Cheers and MASH are my too favourites, however last night, the first and I hope the last episode of My Big Fat Greek Life. It was horrendous...ummm I mean, I didn't watch that...
Phred Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The Bob Newhart show. Where he wakes up in bed with his wife from the first series he was in and the whole series is just a dream. Pretty funny. Phred
Blaze-0 Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 i think i'm the only one who seen the final episode of the A-TEAM, it was stupendous jam packed with excitment and it was soooooooo cheessy in the end with MURDOCH SMOKING THE STOOGIE SAYING I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER INSTEED OF HANNIBAL, A CLOSE SECOND GOES TO Mac GYVER AS WELL.

Kitari Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 ChickenButter, we obviously grew up in the same generation! Every show you've listed makes me laugh when I think back to how great I thought those were when I was a kid! I always wonder if I were to watch one now, how cheesy it would seem. I can't say I've seen any of the final episodes of Dukes, A-Team or McGiver, but I've seen plenty of regular seasons! Thanks for the chuckle!
c-towns Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 I never saw the last episode, but the reruns of "chips" makes me laugh my ass off... peaceinjam.jamesd.
Hux Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 Without a doubt - it would have to be when Cliff and Claire danced into the audience during the final episode of the Cosby Show....
Phunky Cauldron Posted February 25, 2003 Report Posted February 25, 2003 The final spin city and the final news radio were both tear jerkers because of MJ Fox and Phil Hartman. I know that newsradio went on without hartman, but john lovitz just sucks, so I felt that the series died with Hartman.

I wish it was still being shown on basic cable. A classic!
Jaimoe Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 Some of my favourite finales are from the 4 series finales of the great British comedy: Blackadder, but especially the finale of Blackadder Goes Forth. SPOILER: The cast dies in all the finales of all the 4 Blackadder series, but Blackadder Goes Forth finale is sad because it is set in WW I. No joke, I love the finale of Xena. I'm a big Sam Raimi ( producer of Xena ) and Bruce Campbell ( director and sometimes co-star )fan, so this series always entertained me. The fianle was one of the more violent episodes of televison that I have ever seen... and it had balls too. The end of Larry Sanders killed. One of the best comedy/satiric series ever. I still haven't seen Babylon 5's last season, but this series was terrific. I'm with Brad on this one. Newhart's finale was great too. Seinfeld's finale sucked hard. The first half of clips was funny ( how could it not be ? ), but the whole courtroom scenario sucked because it failed to do one major thing: make you laugh. I wish WKRP had a finale. My favourite comedy of all time.
mikey d Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 the final home improvement because we all got to finally see wilson's face
Esau Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 "Newhart" When Bob awakes and hes with his wife Emily from "The Bob Newhart Show" Classic.
