Ha!

Spiral Beach (Toronto) - Indie rock offspring of Canadian folk heroes

Who are they the offspring of?

Airick and Daniel Woodhead are the sons of Canadian folk musician David Woodhead, and Wilde is the daughter of Canadian musical satirist Nancy White.

But, Ollie gets in fights there...major lawnchairs at that place. Security kicked him out the last time we went. But it was pretty easy to come back in after though.

Well that's a bit of revisionist history. ;)

There were no fights and I wasn't kicked out. I voluntarily left for another stage!

The Ottawa Folk Fest crowd are among the lamest on the planet.

That said I may break with a five-year boycott to see Vieux Farka Touré. The only thing holding me back is that the Ottawa Folk Fest crowd are among the lamest on the planet.

Did I mention how lame the Ottawa Folk Fest crowd are?

What? I totally remember a security guy escorting you...was it a voluntary escort? And I remember fighting words. Ok, I probably made it sounds worse that it was, but it still was kinda bad there.

Maybe I was little high but that's all. Buddy gave me the option of sitting down or being escorted out. I chose option 3: sulk away to one of the side stages.

So yeah, don't argue with the lawnchair folk. It's their turf and they don't mess around.

I dig Donna the Buffalo a lot. I've never seen them live, but really like their CDs.

That's a descent Folk Fest lineup. BSS and Don Ross. I wish Don's wife Brooke Millar was playing. What a perfect fit for her that would be. I keep an eye on here website and she never even comes close.
