An interesting tidbit of information came up at our interview today too... Because she had a work permit last year she was actually eligible for OHIP. Ministry of Health told me otherwise so we didnt apply and had to pay approx. 10 grand to have the birth of our child... guess what Ministry, We will be speaking on Monday Cheers to you Mellie, all our hard work has finally come to an end. The only real questions were to make sure that I understood that as her sponsor, if we were to separate over the next five years and she went on welfare that I would be liable to pay the government back.I had to qualify as a sponsor with income and employment. Hoping to head home sometime soon so we can all be around family but it looks like we are here at least one more winter and possibly April or May at the earliest.
