If you like Hot Rats you should check out Waka Jawaka & The Grand Wazoo (these 3 often get grouped together). When Zappa broke his neck in the early 70s and was in a wheelchair he made these 2 albums with a Big Band & the other with a Big jazz band. If you like Zappa & can appreciate Miles Davis' Bitches Brew and other far out Jazz rock fusion these will be up your alley. The Zappa family trust just released a double live show of these arrangements called "Wazoo" which I am anxiously awaiting in the mail (along with a T-shirt featuring the cover to Overnite Sensation).

I found their early albums interesting but kind of hard to listen to more than say once a year. Very creative and funny though. I haven't heard anything new from them in a long time.

You get a punch in the face, they confiscate your glowsticks (and drugs) and throw you out of the bar. The acoustics sound pretty good there though.

I really don't know if she even makes albums anymore but I see a trend here; Her career starts out as Ike & Tina. They break up & she has a very successful solo career....which fizzles out in the 80s. She makes a movie about what a jerk Ike was to jump start her career again....eventually her career fizzles out again. Now that he's dead I expect a new album in 2008 about her relief at his passing or something like that. She will be a huge star again in the new year.

I wonder now that Ike's gone if Tina Turner will lose the angst she's displayed on her last few albums.

I have a live Wings DVD: Rockshow which kicks a lot of ass. I believe it is from 1976 or so and I would highly recommend it. I also have Venus & Mars & Wings at the Speed of Sound on LP (yes Vinyl) so do I still get a punch in the mouth Hux?

Shawnald not only walked to the Beer store and Shopper's drug mart in bare feet quite regularly, he also got served. I can remember him getting kicked out of bars for not having shoes, but he always got served at the beerstore.

I called them a couple months ago to ask why my bill was $10.00 higher. They told me the reason was that I had an old internet package and they would switch me to the new package and it would be cheaper. When the new bill came the bill was $20.00 higher & I called again & they said I had switched services part way through the month so the bill was higher as I was paying a month & a half of services on the new plan. When the next bill came there was an extra $30.00 charge because I had exceeded the bandwidth allotted to me (I had an unlimited plan before so I had never exceeded any limits...what they didn't tell me was that they no longer offered an Unlimited plan and the new plan they switched had bandwidth capped). So I called again as now I'm getting $146.00 phone bills every month (just phone and internet) and I don't even use long distance. They put me into a new "Unlimited" plan for $25.00 a month but gave me $30.00 off for the next 6 months. Considering they no longer have Unlimited usage I am curious to see what my future bills will be but I have 6 months to find a new provider. After all this nonsense (and I'm already furious with Bell) I find out on this board that the reason my bit-torents are so slow is the Throttling issue. When I called in to ask why the torrents were so slow they rebooted my server a few times & made me install upgraded software etc. None of the 5 or 6 technicians and managers I spoke with mentioned the Bandwidth Throttling.
