  1. I want to like him. But when he was talking about PIttsburgh he said "Crosby and Ovechkin have 29 pts between them while the rest of the team...." blah blah, obviously he said Ovechkin instead of Malkin. He also said Montreal came back from 3-1 when they came back from 4-1. He also stammers and corrects himself constantly. I just think he has a case of stage fright or something he hasn't gotten over yet.
  2. ...is absolutely horrendous.
  3. Not having any victories to bask in while at work all week is KILLING me.... OLE
  4. Are you guys seriously making fun of the Senators for not selling all their tickets? I have no idea what the actual numbers are but wouldn't the Senators have one of the smallest population bases in the league from which they can draw support from? They should be commended for the success of their organization, IMO. Am I wrong?
  5. The falsetto singing on all the high parts was one of the worse things I have ever heard....but I couldn't change the channel, it was like being at a car accident.
  6. I have no idea what is going to happen from week to week this year. Jesus I love the NFL.
  7. Ahhhh gone to The Great Gig in the Sky. RIP Rick Wright
  8. I assure you all, I am 100% serious. Disclaimer: Responsibility for kidnapping/rape by burly/whacked out truck drivers falls squarely on the shoulders of the hitchhikee.
  9. WTF YOU GUYS HAVE CORRUPTED MY GRAVY TALK WITH YOUR COLESLAW MUMBO JUMBO
  10. I suggest buying a loaf of bread and hitchhiking to PEI. Bum enough money to buy a large gravy from KFC for dipping if the bread gets too dry. If you can make it here by the time I get off work tomorrow, I'll get you drunk for 3 days(on Old Sam and general PEI joie de vivre) and buy your flight back to Ottawa.
  11. Agreed. If that would have happened from the start I would have been far less irate about the situation.
  12. At this point, I would be very well amused to see him traded to a shitty team, go in and play shitty, throw a bunch of shitty interceptions, and then lose his starting job to some shitty rookie. Am I too venomous? Work is driving me fucking bonkers.
  13. If he thought there was a chance, even just a tiny little small chance that he might want to play again HE SHOULDN'T HAVE FUCKING RETIRED. Seriously, the whole tear filled press conferences and all that shit. I haven't watched PTI in a while but are they having a field day with this one?
  14. I don't give a flying, feathery faced fuck how many bazillion times it has been played on the radio, Don Felder's guitar solo at the end of Hotel California is still one of the slickest, most tasteful guitar solos ever put to tape and it gives me a boner every time I hear it. Sometimes you have to put all the other preconceived bullshit aside and listen to something with fresh ears...it might surprise you. (and I am not talking about the the guitar harmonies with Smokin' Joe or the fact that the second half of the solo is Joe...I am talking about the first half). P.S. I play Take it Easy in the cover band I play in and it makes me want to gouge my eyes out.
  15. I was gonna say I didn't think Streit was a 4 million dollar man....as much as I do like him. But it seems like maybe thats the going rate.
  16. Edit: sorry, I didn't check the Free agency thread first...
  17. True dat. I think the Old Sam is too thick and black to burn though.
  18. They are tailoring the team to meet your hatemongering needs, don't ask questions.
  19. I want Streit back, simply because his goal in Game 7 against the Bruins was my favourite moment of the playoffs. I jumped up on the couch, my heart was beating like crazy....I had the fire. That was a great moment. I just realized I am a forum noob for not knowing how to embed videos Here's the link though:
  20. Happy birthday buddy, my living room never looked better than it does in that picture! Lets do that again sometime...
  21. I understand you completely....but "that feeling" is not possible for me anymore, due to two huge factors: 1. The band is not the same...what made it so crazy at the time was just how "out there" and creative and original they were, in their song writing and their jamming....I don't think they could ever again be considered as fresh and mind blowing as they were, not in my mind anyway. 2. I am not the same person I was 10 years ago... that feeling of being a "tour rat" and sacrificing so much to go see them (I bought my ticket for 12.31.97 3 times....2 scalped tickets that turned out to be "bad" and then a real one all for $100+ US each when the exchange was like 150%...I couldn't afford it and didn't give a fuck) will never be the same. My point is that my experience could never "start again", I could go to a show and enjoy myself, but that whole experience is a closed chapter in my mind. And to MarcO, I certainly don't throw on their albums anymore, but every once in a while when I am in the right frame of mind I still love listening to Nassau Jam while I am driving. Damn that shit grooves.
