  1. Seriously? This is clearly Colin's album. Have you ever heard his bass so prominent in the mix before or his lines so intricate? Phil is going to have a heart attack playing some of these songs live. Not really I guess, but everything just gets lost in the 'electro crickets' shit to my ears. Reminds me alot of the atrocity that was The Siket Disc. All of that said, I should note I haven't really been into much the band has done since about 1999. After Kid A I could not decode the message. In Rainbows was a return to form if only for a couple year or so. Love on peeps, I don't get this band anymore. And thats my loss I suppose...
  2. Well put. I agree that basically there seems to be a tiny bit of truth in every avalanche of speculation. But back to the OP- Montreal is one of the most weak rumors. There is nothing to back it up other than tour routing from what I have seen. This is the list today for those who aren't following PT: 5/27 Bethel 5/28 Bethel 5/29 Bethel 6/1 Alpharetta or Portsmouth (5/31 at the latter too?) 6/2 Alpharetta or Portsmouth 6/4 Blossom 6/5 Cincy 6/7 Toronto? DTE? 6/8 Darien 6/10 Camden 6/11 Hartford 6/12 Hartford 6/14 Portsmouth or Alpharetta 6/15 Portsmouth or Alpharetta 6/17 Charlotte 6/18 Raleigh 6/19 Merriweather 6/21 Meadowbrook 6/23 Great Woods 6/24 AC?
  3. I only found two songs on there worthy of a relisten. Is this really Radiohead or just Thom and Johnny?? All of the love leaves me feeling....
  4. Over on PT there have been multiple threads guessing at the tour based on rumors, info etc. that people seem to have gathered. It should be noted that I've only seen Montreal listed on one set of those dates, and the rest are full of wild speculation- such as this post: 5/27-29 (haven't cancelled Portsmouth* but) NO shows (or Bethel or SPAC*, but see 8/16-19) ---leg 1 starts here?--- 6/1-2 West Palm Beach (but I can't 100% rule out Alpharetta) 6/4 Blossom 6/5 Cincy 6/7 Pine Knob (or Toronto) 6/8 Darien 6/10 Camden* (no hotey, but transport is arranged) 6/11-12 Hartford* (and Merriweather?) 6/14-15 Alpharetta (but I can't 100% rule out WPB) 6/17 Charlotte 6/18 Raleigh 6/19 Merriweather(?) circa 6/21 one, maybe two at Portsmouth 6/23 Great Woods ---i think leg 1 ends there, but here are some possibles--- 6/24 or 26 DMB fest in AC* 6/25 Wrigley (TBA later)? 6/(27-)28-29 some combo of Pine Knob, Toronto, Montreal and Bangor? or Deer Creek? -------------------------------------------------------------- 7/1-3 Watkins Glen* ---i doubt, but could see the following--- 7/5-7 Bethel and any of the 6/28-29 dates? 7/8-10 Chicago (DMB festival)* leg 2 7/(28-)29 Deer Creek? (could be 8/18) 7/30(-31) Chicago (and Riverport or Sandstone?) or Alpine (could be 8/19-20) 8/(1 or )2-3 a small place in CO or UT and/or on the WY/ID border (and/or maybe 8/1 or 2 Osage Creek?)? (could be 8/15-16) 8/5-6 (or 7) Gorge* 8/8 Hollywood Bowl* 8/9(-10) or 10(-11) Chula Vista (and Santa Barbara? Phoenix?) 8/11 Tahoe* (or Greek* or Santa Barbara)? 8/12 and/or 13 Outside Lands* 8/14 large sports venue in Colorado (could be the following weekend but i doubt it)? 8/16 Bethel 8/17-19 SPAC* weekend of 8/27 (or possibly the weekend before but i doubt it) very large venue in New York City metro area? (DMB festival)
  5. You'll see stat corrections from time to time and I think this would apply. We've got a nice stretch run going here boys- loving it!
  6. Parc Jean Drapeau would allow for a shit load of fans to come from all over and its also a site that has proven itself worthy by accomodating the large scale rock band crowds with relative ease. The close proximity to Vermont should also help this one. I like this rumour!
  7. The new facebook picture "feature" apparently doesn't allow for copying of the jpeg links- so this is the one I found online: If you're on FB the pics are posted; if you're not congrats you are stronger than the rest of us. The only item not revealed here is the 20 or so "Ocho Cinco" chrome name plates scattered all over the vehicle including the steps, bumpers and the trailer hitch in the bed. One can be seen just above the front fender in the above pic. The size of the thing was unreal; I stood next to the drivers door and only went about halfway up- making it almost 12 feet tall. Chad was out running on the beach when we headed back to the hotel.....
  8. He wants to, but the NFL will impose a hefty fine on him until all of those Ocho jerseys out there sell first. I think my bro told me it could be about $3 mill....
  9. I'm down in Miami on South Beach and we just saw Ocho Cinco pull up in his fully customized F650 at The News Cafe for some valet action. He had a very nice looking lady in tow but he ditched her to run on the beach. He has been tweeting about his new fitness regime and apparently we caught Day One. The truck he was driving was like nothing I have ever seen before; pics to follow when I get the chance to post em!
  10. I love that DBT reference. Perfectly placed! You'll get some nice weather- I'm burned to a crisp from Day 1 in Fort Myers.....
  11. Ian Blurton performing at a benefit for people with hearing loss. Oh thats rich!
  12. Tweeter and the Monkey Man- The Headstones When I first heard that song I wondered why they weren't bigger than The Hip!
  13. Are you writing for the Sun on this trip? A huge coincidence in todays paper: a 2 page spread on Nashville/ The Country Music Hall of Fame.
  14. A band called Down Here is listed at Lebreton on Jambase.com Sat July 16
  15. I thought long and hard about throwing my choice up there first Sloth! May the best man (and team) win....
  16. If anyone is still making picks: GB: Rodgers finally buries the ghost of Favre in Wisconsin.
  17. Thats the only hitch I can see. Bluesfest can afford ANYONE! And there isn't a site out there that could properly hold those egos.....
  18. OK not a lock for U2, but all of the puzzle pieces do seem to fit: Big Name: check Big Draw: check Playing Locally: check Haven't played BF: check
  19. Haynesworth Charged With Assault
  20. Not really..... They are playing some secondary markets on this leg and are playing Montreal on July 8+9 and Toronto on the 11th. And I know I am in the minority but I would love to see U2 at Lebreton!
  21. I think U2 and Mumford and Sons are pretty much a lock....
