  1. If Harper had his way this would be the 51st state and handguns would be available at Canadian tire... Welcome to the Conservative agenda...

  3. would love to tour in that life sized mystery machine. Sweeeet ride!
  4. You know what I don't get? Why all these stars with buckets of cash..(Loahn, Hilton, even..Trey and John Popper) Why they all get loaded and drive ther own cars? They have money! Take a cab, a limo, even a fucking helicopter..but why on earth would you drive yourself and make yourself a target??!! If you were broke and had no other means to get home, as bad a decision to drive intoxicated is, maybe it makes some kind of sense....but these people are retarded.
  5. As much as they are an older band Little Feat needs to be on this list. They are consistently one of the best live acts in any genre I have ever seen. They always perform at a very high technical level and get the crowd pumped. "FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET"! Typically bands like this are ignored by rolling stone these days as they do not sell a tonne of albums or have flashy endorsment/promo deals etc... Rolling Stone is a fluffer for major labels these days and really just a popularity contest...
  6. Texas was doomed on July 6th 1946...It has never fully recovered....
  7. I promise you the music at this event will be as funky as you can stand. My other gig, when no playing in the Chameleon Project, is music consulting and supervision. As such I have been collecting rare. classic and out of print disco, funk & soul for over 10yrs... You will hear the type of grooves thar force you to getdown, the are so good! Check us out...it's only $5 all night..... Disco attire is encouraged...I myself will be wearing some tight disco pants....
  8. Certaily if you PM me I will make sure you get info free as it id your B-day...
  9. Metalica have no business on this list. Lars can barely keep a beat. Everything he plays is fixed n protools...extensively.
  10. I'd pay to see that for sure. We'll see if that really happens. I keep hearing the Zeppelin re-union rumors non-stop too you never know what to believe.
  11. So true AD, H.O.R.D.E. was very crucial to the scene in the early 90's. It was really responsible breaking Phish on a national level. It took them from small College shows to arenas and stadiums... The scene could really benefit form that kind of festival again.. Seems the Jamband scene is the only one that does not have a travelling tour to support up and coming talent anymore. Metalheads have Ozzfest, the pop/punk scene has Vans warped tour etc.... I know we have Bonnaroo and other festivals but not one that tours and that is the key factor in terms of making people aware and spreading influence at the grassroots level.... I wish H.O.R.D.E. was still happening.
  12. Two Princes and Runaround...those two songs for each band individually alienated their core audience and they never really recovered. However those songs did take them deep into the mainstream... Blues Traveler is on the rebound though..I hear they are doing great shows again...I really like them circa 1992-1997ish
  13. The last one was such a success, they have made it a monthly event. We aim to bring the phattest disco beats to your feets!

  15. Good score for the Raps, they have needed a reliable 3 point specialist ever since Del Curry got let go.

  19. I find recently I am listening to more Phish mostly live from 1996-1999. I do find however more often I reach for that classic Dead show. The Grateful Dead's music is eternal in a way like no other... Either way I still listen to Phish and hope for more time on the road, with Phish or another band that can bring everyone together out of the woodwork.... I am not convinced that will happen though, because as other have said, many factors went into the Dead and Phish's success...that go beyond the music I really see it as the Dead capturing a piece of the 60's spirit and protecting it for 30 years, then when they ended Phish was in the right stage of development at the right time to pick up the torch. I can literally remember seeing many of the same heads on Phish tour that were on Dead tour the year after the Dead hung it up...
  20. SO I was on the road the other day listening to a very hot "Twist Around" from Vegas and the jam was smokin'. It got me to thinking of the days on the road, all the friendly faces, the parking lot scenes and cross country travel etc... I wonder if there will ever be another band in Canada or the US that will emerge to unite the scene the way Phish did and the Dead did before them? Sure there are many great bands, making killer music, today but they do not have the draw to get folks following them the way these bands did... It has been a few years since the end of Phish and I wonder if that type of scene is gone forever? What was it about the Dead and Phish that brought so many different people together from all corners of North America and beyond, and why isn't that happening today with some other band, to the degree it was...... Missing those days....your thoughts...?
  21. Timer Ho! Is written, I believe, by 30's folk/blues singer Josh White.... although the original title is "Timber (jerry the mule)". It is now a public domain tune, so White may have just made the tune popular.... In any case it's very old and Phish didn't write it...
