  1. Welcome aboard! If you're looking to be productive, you've come to the wrong place!
  2. Nope. Unless they meet in the playoffs. They've played their 8 games already this season, Ottawa won 5, Buffalo 3.
  3. I caught them in Montreal in November, and the show was awesome.
  4. Yes they did. In Canada, a tax on income was introduced in 1917 as a temporary measure to fund the war. In 1917, Sir Robert Borden, a Conservative/Unionist, was Prime Minister.
  5. Sorry NewRider! You're post was on a Saturday. That's why I missed it.
  6. It is indeed still early (22-24 or so games left for most teams) but I'm pretty pessimistic about the Sens facing NJ or Pittsburgh in the first round. I'd rather see them face Tampa or Atlanta, which, is not likely.
  7. I know there are several Tool fans on the board. They've announced new tour dates. As far as Canada goes, they will be in Quebec City, Montreal, and Hamilton on April 27th, 28th, and 29th respectively.
  8. Time to move out of Crackton, dude.
  9. I was at that show at Molson Park... it was Aug. 31st 1996 actually. Neil & Crazy Horse, Oasis, Jewel, Gin Blossoms, and a couple of others. I was too far away to throw stuff at Oasis, but, had I been closer, I would have. Wankers.
  10. I wouldn't sell the farm yet, Habs fans. There's still lots of season left. If they can string together a few consecutive wins, they'll be back in it. They just have to return to their early season form.
  11. I liked the place better when it was called Fanny's.
  12. This is an historic thread - Popo Weenie has learned how to quote other posts! Yay Popo Weenie!
  13. Well, that would explain why there are so few women at Rush concerts!
  14. Well you know the old expression.... "Five's the charm".
  15. Some women I know are into the jamband music/scene or whatever, but couldn't be bothered to read or post on a message board. But I think Ollie's right... there are more ladies on this board than on others. Deeps: "libraryactic" - I love it!
  16. back to the Emery suspension for a minute.... at first I thought 3 games was too much. One game would have been more appropriate. but I guess the leauge can't really suspend a goalie for 1 game... I mean, the Sens could have been planning to sit him anyways for the next game. Maxim wasn't hurt with the stick to the visor. So the leauge is penalizing the intent to injure in this case. Wonder how many games Emery would have been given had the guy not been wearing a visor?
  17. That's a bullshit suspension IMO. Lapierre should have been suspended for butt-ending Crosby in that game on Feb 1st. If Lapierre keeps up his dirty play, he'll be eating his lunch through a straw before too long.
  18. I read multiple news stories that said they sucked. Are you sure you weren't watching a live DVD from 1986? "Considering all the hype going in' date=' there probably wasn't any way The Police's reunion at the top of the 49th Grammy Awards telecast would live up to expectations. It didn't." - Toronto Star "In what should be a big moment, The Police reunite with a rendition of Roxanne. Alas, Sting sucks the urgency out of the song with jazz-style vocalizing. It's a desperate man's plea to a hooker, dammit, not a Harry Connick dooby-dooby-doo feel-good melody. Outside of the Officially Designated Mosh Pit Area the crowd seems unmoved, literally, with only a few heads bobbing." - The National Post [/quote'] Those observations may be true, but Copeland's a friggin' wicked drummer.
  19. Aqua Teen Hunger Force is an acquired taste. It helps if you're really baked when you watch it.
  20. Is there any way you can set up a web-cam, you know, kind of discreetly, for your visits to hotty central? These threads are fun and all, but kind of useless without pix and/or video.
