  1. Will do DB. Tix aren't on sale until Aug. 17th. If there will be a pre-sale, the info will be available sometime that week I presume.
  2. I think the Olympics are awesome and I plan to watch as much as possible. I prefer not to watch events as re-runs, but with the time zone difference I may have not have much choice. With the way the British press took the piss out of Canada when we hosted two years ago, I hope our pundits return the favour in kind. Tit for tat.
  3. That seems to be team Springsteen's strategy. Leak out a tour date or two for a few minutes, then hide the evidence, thus creating an buzz on the interwebs. My fingers crossed for a show in these parts this fall!

  5. The show in Montreal on Wednesday was wicked. Totally enjoyed it even though my seat wasn't great. I agree with Booche's comment about the more familiar set list. But I still enjoyed their bluesfest appearance in 2010 nearly as much. Everyone, well at least 95% of everyone at Centre Bell had an Iron Maiden t-shirt. We were like an army!
  6. At first glance I thought that said "peeing over the fence".
  7. I am excited about bluesfest, though not as excited as I was for previous bluesfests. I plan to attend 5 nights this year. I am more excited about my summer vacation, starting at 4:20 pm today! Excitement abounds.
  8. "pussy" and "dick" are not words you want to be saying to post-menopausal women.
  9. With the passing of my grandmother this weekend, I'm not going to be able to go to the Bill Frisell show at the National Arts Centre on Wednesday night. So my pair of tickets is for sale. Face value for the pair was $68, I'll accept any reasonable offer. These tickets are for the 9pm show at the National Arts Centre Studio, and it's a separately ticketed event. Send me a pm if you're interested, thanks! More info here
  10. The stand just west of Kent St. had a good sandwich today. Great tasting sauce. Yesterday, I had the sandwich from stand closest to the east side of Kent St. was not as good, but had a larger quantity of meat. (sorry, I'm not paying much attention to the names of these places!)
  11. The annual "International Chicken and Rib Cook-Off" on the Sparks Street Mall in Ottawa started today! If you listen carefully, you can hear my arteries hardening.
  12. I hope they don't find out I haven't listed to CHEZ in over 10 years.

  15. At the end of the Phish webcast, did any of you switch it over to the other channel to catch the last bit of Alice Cooper? His grand finale was Lady Gaga's "Born This Way". He made that song his own!
  16. Was the Phish-Springsteen collaboration (which would have been far more awesome to witness) web-casted? If not, there's the explanation for the greater notoriety. If it was, then I got nothin'!
  17. Even if you didn't see it, you should have been able to feel it! It was a truly awesome experience that was almost worth the scorching of my corneas.
  18. Well this tour announcement steal all the thunder from Journey / Pat Benatar / Loverboy tour dates announced earlier today. Patti Smith opener takes it up a notch!
