  6. The opener for Aerosmith on that tour is Cheap Trick. Do you think they'd risk a return to the Bluesfest?
  7. I'll start another rumour: Mellencamp Recently announced early July Eastern Canada tour dates, with the Cowboy Junkies opening up.
  8. Agreed - the happenings during the off-season have been really interesting even for the casual fan. Go NFL go!
  9. I made that joke in October of 2005 and all I got was abuse!
  10. That's hilarious phorbesie! Whitey is notified. Or at least he will be when he wakes up at the crack of noon.
  11. Doesn't look like the tix are on sale for the Monebello thing yet. Keep checking the website. I'm not going, as I'll most likely be at Phish shows that weekend. But the line-up looks good to me.
  12. "freak-rockers" - I love the genre! Yep, I'll be there on April 7th, likely with a few Bob Loblaw newbies in tow. This will be an awesome reason to say in town on the Easter weekend. I saw Bob Loblaw several times in the mid-90s. Great fun! I still have the cassette they released way back then. We'll be waxing nostalgic that night for sure.
  13. Yes, cole slaw is the perfect accompaniment! I did indeed spice it up before browning, and after!
  14. A "labtop" is a small portable computer used exclusively in a laboratory. Labtops are most commonly seen in scientific and medical research facilities.

  19. That's hilarious! I have no new rumors to add, but I really wish they would announce their lineup 6 weeks sooner, just so I can more easily plan July concert sked.
  20. I make this stuff so frequently I can give you a recipe of the top of my head! 3.5 pound pork shoulder roast 2 large onions 3 cloves garlic 1 small can tomato paste 14 oz. can crushed tomatoes a few shakes of a bottle of hot sauce paprika, cayenne pepper, chili powder, thyme, salt and pepper to taste. spice up your meat and brown it in bacon grease or olive oil in a frying pan. cut up your onions and garlic, place in the bottom of the slow cooker. throw your browned meat on top, and smother with the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, hot sauce, and more spices cook it on low for 6-8 hours. Of course, you can't go wrong with simply using a commercially available BBQ sauce. Worcestershire sauce is a nice touch too.
  21. The only thing missing from the broadcast of last night's game were shots of Ranger coach John Tortorella blowing a gasket behind the bench. That makes for some great TV.
