Haven't made BBQ sauce in years (getting lazy, I guess), but here is my recipe: 2 cloves garlic, crushed 3/4 cup raw apple cider vinegar 1 six ounce can tomato paste 1/4 cup dark molasses 1/4 cup light molasses 1/4 cup filtered water 2 Tbsp orange zest 1/2 tsp each: black pepper, ginger, ground mustard 1/4 tsp each: allspice, celery seed, dried thyme 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper 1 small bay leaf 1 Tbsp liquid smoke (optional) In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except the liquid smoke (if using). Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add liquid smoke. Stir. Not sure how long this keeps in the fridge, but I've never had it go bad on me. *shrug*
