i dabbled in the cell phone world a few years ago - i screwed up - and ended up with a humongous bill. after that i thought it best not to have one, except for this: i used to spend a fair bit of time on the road, often in the middle of nowhere, so i do still have one which i use only on road trips. i wouldn't want to travel without one, especially alone!

last night we went to pizza rustica.. i didn't try the pizza but the panini was very tasty! [i don't know what street we were on but close to the skydome]

from what little i have read about this race, the thing that worried me about sarkozy is his perceived anti-immigration stance. apparently he did not visit the "banlieus" during his campaign, either. hopefully he'll prove that wrong!

this is purely a guess, but i believe basque country extends into france, maybe that's the connection? i have had a lot of funny border crossings... once we were crossing from middle-of-nowhere manitoba to middle-of-nowhere minnesota, it was just a small building in a cornfield. buddy must have been bored because he decided to take eeeeverything out of my car [i was moving home for the summer from BC, so there was a LOT of stuff]. the lady inside the office even checked my purse! but, they were really nice. another time, crossing at detroit on our way to an ABB show - customs: where are you going? me: allman brothers show at pine knob. customs: any cannabis in the vehicle? me: no sir. customs: well, i'm sure you'll find some there. :laugh:
