  1. I caught that show also - looking at the stub right now - Buddy Guy, Chris Duarte and Mel Brown Thursday March 9th 1995 ($15.75 ticket price) We recorded it also. I have the show on cassette still to this day. I also caught the next nights show with Buddy and Duarte at Convcation hall, but I found Duarte was just way too loud for the place.
  2. Fathead - sweet. I haven't seen them since Hoarde fest in 94 at darien Lake.
  3. I'm not a musician, so I can't say what or what not a band/solo artist etc should do with art, thats up to them. I know I'm probally not going to articulate myself very well here, but I think some folks may understand what I'm trying to say. Of course, this is just my opinion. One person (amongst many) who has really impressed me has been Neil Young - I think he has adapted greatly to the new gen of music purchasing/listening/aquiring, what comes to mind is when he released his albums 'Prairie Wind' and 'Living With War'. First he put all tracks on his website for people to stream and listen to free of charge, then a month or so before the album(s) hit the stores Neil offers them for purchase via downloading lossless files at a cheaper cost then when the CD hits the stores. Which would work very well for bands who are primarily "studio-oriented" as Marc0 mentions. Now of course Neil is well established and pretty much can sell an album just having his name on it, but it does impress me that he or his people have taken notice of the whole music on the internet and acted. So, given that anyone (band or not) can easily setup a website, be it an advanced site they pay for which hosts files, has all the bells and whistles etc, or one of free sites (no file hosting, frills etc) or even a myspace they can do sorta the same as Neil does (perhaps to a lesser extend but still) and with websites like LMA out there, young bands can pretty much get their live music out to the world with little to no effort (eg: tapers will record and upload) I can appreciate the great efforts and work involved with creating and playing music, so when I say "little to no effort" I am only refering to getting live music online. Anyway, theres my thoughts, hope they make or made sense.

    oink invites

I have a demonoid invite (maybe more) if anyone wants it. AD, your welcome to it still as I offered it to ya first.
  7. If your ripping studio CDs, you can use EAC and FLAC frontend setup together and it'll tag the tracks as you rip directly to FLAC. Otherwise, for live shows with text files like Solargarlic mentions - FLACIFY is the way to go.
  8. Not really trying to defend GWB here, but that was his spokespersons comment. Of course he supports the constitution, he's the president. The transcript of what he said is here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/
  9. Thanks for the video NR. Such an appropriate tune to finish off the strangest date I've probally ever been on. (and its been awhile) Sure do wish I could make that show - oh so bad I wish. I hope my first ex-wife is as cool as Lucinda. Have a great time buddy.
  10. I hear what your saying about new software. Clean install - only way to go. When I bought my new computer it came with nero 6, but with no DVD burning options, even though it has a DVD burner. So, I upgraded to ultra 7 and had tons of issues. Once I clean installed (totally removed all nero programs) all worked fine and I haven't had any burning problems. I have read about the disc at once issues using the burning rom, but I always use the express so I haven't come across the problem myself.
  11. Well, I imagine Keri has the same copy as me, since I mailed it to him. Unless he procured a different copy. The solutions I posted both worked for me. I just used the burning rom to burn a CD. I usually just use the express option which has always removed the gaps.
  12. Perhaps bouche or another moderator would do this gal a little favour then and delete her phone number(s) from this thread.
  13. A buddy who uses the burning rom (not the express) told me this via IM.
  14. If this is the same version I have Keri I use the express option for burning audio CDs, and there is an option (a small box to check) to remove gaps there. http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/5397/1234lh1.jpg

  16. Terrible news. Watching some of it now on CNN. That makes sense to me Paisley. One thing that furthers that for me, is that CNN (on TV) finds it relevant to update us all during this tragedy on just how many views the student video on their website has gotten.
  17. Maybe contact the venue, mention whats going on and that you have a confirmation email (or number) to show you purcased tickets. Perhaps others are having the same problem and they have information. I dunno man, but I hope it works out for you.

  19. Does this offer include tickets to Umph, a trunk to hide in while crossing the border and an autographed baseball? If so, I'm in.
  20. Nah, turns out his so called wife is actually a composite profile created by a corrupt goverment to lure him into a trap so the British Secert service could arrest him.

    Dutch Crunch

You'll see Old Dutch around more now since they bought out Humpty Dumpty (Kitchener) last year. I remember buying the boxes a long time back (early ninities or so anyway), but apparently beginning this month they started introducing other (not all) flavours west of thunder bay.
  22. I caught the show just before the movie called "Hollywood Asylum" which was basically an analysis by Jacqueline Zimmerman of Hollywood's depictions of asylums, but it mainly concertrated on the movie with a load of interviews with Brad Dourif (Billy Bibbit), who also got his start in that film, I believe.
  23. 210. Theme: Songs With The Word "Gold" In It, But Not In The Song Title 1. Tina Toledo's Street Walkin' Blues - Ryan Adams 2. Loser- Grateful Dead 3. You got the Silver- The Rolling Stones 4. Isis - Dylan 5. Hey 19- Steely Dan 6. One Rainy Wish - Jimi Hendrix 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
