I thought the same. I guess the media figured it would draw more clicks if they said Dylan covers freebird. Still cool. Though Bob singing a verse or two would've been even cooler.

Esau. reacted to bouche in Donation sidebar
I turned on the sidebar and within it, I've added the ability to accept donations for the site.
This is to cover yearly hosting bills that I've been able to handle in the past through advertising.  The last few years, there has been no ad space purchases and google ads do not provide more than around $70 over a year.  So I've been footing the bills personally over the last few years.  I've come to the conclusion that the site needs some form of income and the only way I could come up with at the moment is by implementing a persistent donation box.
Any amount will be helpful.  Since the box relies on paypal, hopefully everyone wishing to drop some money into the guitar case already has a paypal account, or doesn't mind setting one up.  Other forms of donation may be acceptable as well.  Suggestions are welcome.
If anyone has any other ideas to fund hosting I'm all eyes and ears.

By the way.............if anyone is wondering why I havent updated the 30 Trips Around The Sun thread it's because I feel rather intimidated.
It's the first night in Hamilton in 1992. It's a show I was at and let's just say.............well.............I was at the show and I know a number of folks on here (current or gone) were as well. I am awaiting a night I can sit back and really delve into it simply because I am already biased. I may as well let all that shine, right?
Let's end with this. Our buddy buttoned up his winter coat for what must have been an hour after the show ended.

I love Truckin's from this era.
I was lucky enough to see back to back versions at my first two Dead shows right before Brent died. When the Good Ole Grateful Dead were inside of one there may have been no bigger party going on earth at that moment, perhaps ever. Everyone and everything was in sync with the collective unconscious amongst all participants. Videos will never explain what was going down. I cant even begin to imagine what a 1974 show must have been like even though I pretend to do such a thing.

    Talking Heads to reform?
The classic new wave band who emerged out of the CBGBs scene are rumoured to be regrouping. At the moment it’s hints and loose internet talk but also some curious omens..
DJ Joe Rock of the classic hits station WMMO posted today (3/25) on the station’s Facebook page: “Rumor has it Talking Heads are in the studio working on a new album and planning a tour for 2017.”
The website mediamass.net also has a more detailed post(which, oddly, says it was updated tomorrow, 3/26). It says: “There have been strong rumors that the rock band is finally returning to the recording studio working on a what might be a back-to-roots album. [A]s many as eight songs having been put to tape. ‘It’s still in the early stages,’ ‘They got security on the doors to ensure no-one hears a whisper,’ a source said…. Talking Heads are rumoured to be planning a worldwide tour at the end of 2017.”
Talking Heads drummer Chris Frantz for a comment, and he cryptically if encouragingly said, “It should be true.” He said in 2012 following the release of the band’s Chronology DVD, “I’m not holding my breath but I still have my hopes that maybe someday David will call and say, ‘You know, I should give Chris and Tina and Jerry a call and do something with them.’ And why not, you know? We make a pretty good team.”

I have noticed that there are more and more of these bootlegs popping up on Amazon. It seems the vinyl trend has those boot companies pressing stuff on vinyl that has been out of print at least as far as the ROIOs go.
I just bought The Band - And Then There Were Four (live 1983) and Springsteen - Live at Winterland '78 boxed set for a good price on Amazon and they sound absolutely fantastic!

" Although I thought it was pretty incredible when they pulled it out finally in 95, at the same time I was disappointed because I've always felt that song would have been even better had it been played during it's prime - when it was fresh, Phil's voice was better, and Jerry was in better shape all round. " - we got to see the second one done live in Charolette. Just before we headed out on our drive I learned they did it in Philly and crunched some numbers "We might not get to see it" but luckily they did it two shows later the night Bruce Hornsby showed up unannounced. Walking in and seeing a piano onstage sent the place into pre-show mayhem. I always loved that energy swell but this was way different than anything I have come to see since.
I experienced my one and only out of body experience at that show. It was the second night of a three night run and we blasted through our 'supplies' the previous night, just to stay awake following the 16 hour drive from Kingston. We were already running on fumes and low supplies for night two but hot-damn if I didnt have my most meaningful connection with everything during this show. It's not killer for any of you to listen to, I rarely have, but something happened to me that show that made me question because I realized I knew nothing.
Laugh it up all you want Fuzzballz but I was floating in the rafters while swimming through colors that came from Jerry and Phil's instruments during Scarlet Begonias. That lasted an eternity. It ended when I looked at our row and saw us. I almost collapsed when my field of vision changed to 'reality'
