  1. Hang in there brad...you'll be gettin' a double dose of two weeks ago and this past Monday shortly All I can say at this moment is there's somethin' brewin' in the Sister's kitchen which many are going to be happy about...
  2. We had the pleasure of adding sound design and audio mixing for this short animation film which just took Firt Place in The Canadian Film Centre and SHORTSNONSTOP Mobile Movie Festival The Red Kite
  3. ...some new audio & visual to finish off Humpday... The tune is from this past Monday night and the pics are from two weeks ago when the Sisters were joined by two close friends, Davide DiRenzo on drums & Johnny Johnson on Sax-a-ma-phone... Follow the link & click on the "David Drage" Banner, click on the Sisters pic and remember to Treat Her Right...Goddamn It!!!
  4. Anyone know if there will be a lawn chair section???
  5. No, my friend did stand his ground and very few people come out on top in a battle of wits against him...in a short amount of time he put the lawn chair nazi in his place and convinced him that if he wanted to enjoy the concert he should either stand or relocate his chair to the back of the venue as we were there first...however, it still sucked that all of this happened...
  6. ...one of my friends who used to play guitar with the Punk in DownTime caught Buddy's guitar pick that he threw into the crowd...not much of a contest as most of the people in that area didn't have a chance with their asses glued to their lawn chairs!!!
  7. Not much else to say but the same... It's one sour melon without Shannon Hoon
  8. A while ago I read all the controversy regarding the "lawn chair dilemma" and some of the altercations between "standers & sitters"...I hadn't experienced this myself...until last night... A few of us made our way out to the Port Credit South Street Shuffle to catch the legend blues man Buddy Guy...we made our way into the venue which was general admission and made our way up to the stage...at first I thought that the venue had set up seats as there were rows and rows of people sitting down and then realized they were all sitting on their lawn chairs...BIG LAWN CHAIRS...TAKING UP THE SPACE FOR AT LEAST TWO OR THREE PEOPLE OR FOUR WHEN THE "SITTER" DECIDED TO GET OFF THEIR FAT ASS AND DANCE FOR 5 SECONDS... Sure enough, many of us were yelled at, screamed at, told to "sit down or get the $%&* out" by these silly white people in their trailor made lawn boy chairs...one older man kicked my friend in the back of his legs...wrong move on his part as that particular friend doesn't take shit from anyone... In the end we just ignored the sea of trash and then laughed our asses off when the MC walked on stage and told the crowd to "stand the %$*# up and give it up for Buddy Guy"... But for the first 45 minutes of the show I felt like I had been vomited on...the vibe was so bad that I didn't think I'd enjoy any of the show but thankfully Buddy put on a great show and I was finally able to shake of the the previous unpleasantries... It was also no surprise that the guy directly beside me was never bothered or asked to sit down by the "chair nazis" probably because he was black...but I had a great time with him and when he put his arm around me I wasn't bothered by the lawn chair morons  It was great to see Buddy Guy...it was terrible to experience the "lawn chair ordeal" and I hope that I never have to experience something like that again...
  9. And let us not forget a great cover of Neil's "Heart of Gold"!!!...and when Nadirah Shakoor worked her magic with Redemption Song at the end of "A Pirate Looks At Forty" I was in Pirate Paradise! What a day!...plenty of boatdrinks and fun tickets to last me until the next one!
  10. This is going to be one helluva day...Bubba doesn't roll into town too often... Our local Parrothead club, "The Toronto Maple Reefer Parrothead Club" ( Maple Reefers ) is throwing one HUGE tailgate pre-cocert bash with the help of Ontario Place...$20.00 gets you two bands and a DJ PLUS all the cheeseburgers and munchies you can eat. 2pm -7pm and then it's Buffett time... Parrothead Tailgate Pre-Concert Details Plus our band, "The Maple Reefers" are bustin' out our originals and some "Tropical Rock" style tunes in the style of Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band followed by Northern Harbour, another great "Trop Rock" band. We're lucky to have James Quinn adding his brilliant guitar work to our band...some of you may remember James as one of the guys who formed "DownTime" with the Punk...also, Stella Panacci will be onstage with her sweet voice to help us over some rough spots... Hope to see some of you there...I'll be easy to spot...just look for the guy in the Hawaiian shirt

  15. Thank you for sharing your experience with us...I can't imagine how hard that must have been, to have re-lived and written the events down and how that must have solidified everything...it must have definitely put things in perspective for you and you seem to have found the positive side out of it all and the path you find yourself on now. Though I didn't make many of your events I've always admired the determination and amazing efforts that you put into promoting great music for many to experience and enjoy. Whatever direction you choose I'm sure you will find success and happiness waiting for you.
  16. The Hostess with the "Un-fuggin'-belieavable" Mostest!!!
  17. Just checking to see if my Avatar is back...
  18. I don't mean to "tick" you off' date=' but I don't have a smart-ass reply to what you wrote. I try really hard not to use "tape" as a verb, but "taping" is the word I use for the whole concept/idea of recording bands (the way I do): it includes getting permission from the band, uploading shows (if allowed), trading CDs (if allowed), etc. I also note that the only (two) times I've ever unintentionally left any of my gear at venues after shows, it was the same thing: the roll of masking tape and the roll of duct tape I bring to lash things down and hold stuff together. You'd figure that, as a taper, I'd somehow remember that stuff most of all... Aloha, Brad[/quote'] awww c'mon brad, I was hoping for something a bit more humourous than this reply... When I'm in Orbit tonight "digitizing" the Sisters I'll give this some more thought...
  19. ...just counting the seconds for bradm's smart-ass reply... tick tick tick...
  20. I find myself grinning when I read things about "taping" as it's all digital now If anyone would like to be my apprentice in Toronto I'll be happy to show you how to "tape" and I've got all the duct tape you'll need
  21. Actually, Kevin tries not to miss Mondays...he and Harry opened for Gregg Allman a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday and he flew home to play his Monday at the Orbit... They had last week off due to the long weekend bu will be "in Orbit" tonight and I'll be there for some tunes!
