  1. Congratulations you two!!! My thoughts were with you all day yesterday and was so happy that your day was filled with love, sun, smiles and great friends to share your day with you. I know that you'll always take care of each other
  2. I had to get this up from last night for those who dig the Sisters... Mondays are always great nights at the Orbit and then you get those nights where the music is just outstanding... As was the case last night...the first set was only 45 minutes or so and looked like the Sisters might be laying back a bit in the afterglow of their Juno win but not a chance...when they returned for the second set they played for over 70 minutes... As I was returning to T-dot from London earlier in the evening I was thinking how nice it would be to hear Mall Full of Toads or Emily Gunfighter as they have been playing the more recent material so it was great to hear MFOT last night and Little Red Corvette added to the humour that is always present... For the O-town folk, be sure to hit up bradm when he returns as he was there recording the madness and definitely has one of the standout shows from the Sister's Monday Madness... Here's a little "twist" on Tumbleweed Tea...follow the link and click on the pic of the Sisters for some Tuesday Tumbleweed Tea with a twist... Tumbleweed Twist
  3. CANNOT STOP LISTENING TO THIS NIGHT OF MUSIC... Ship of Fools Oh, and if you're enjoying this music, the new CD "In Good We Trust" is a work of art by two amazing musicians...please, please, please, if you're going to download this stuff then buy the music...the studio disc is basically "live off the floor" anyway as that's how these guys like to record...so drop the argument/excuse that it's all about the live music
  4. Thank you for making such a long trip for a few hours of fun...like I said last night, "If I can just make it to May..." Oh, did anyone figure out who the hell "Ken M" is??? CANNOT STOP LISTENING TO THIS NIGHT OF MUSIC... Ship of Fools
  5. So GREAT to see you guys last night!!!...I'm back at work and wondering if last night actually happened...I had told bouche & Ms. Hux that this kind of show is the type where the audience hangs on every single note and most nights at Hugh's are simply magic...then afterwards we headed back to the "home away from home" and listened to great tunes, caught up a bit and dreamed up plans for an August adventure...during which shows were being edited, burned and videos uploaded for everyone to enjoy...all the while thinking how far technology has come that so many things can be shared on a massive scale in such a short amount ot time... Picking out a sample from last night's show was frickin' impossible as the whole show was stunning...some of you O-Town folk might want to hit bouche & Ms. Hux up for a copy though we didn't have the time to do a complete tweak of the show...I did want them to return with the night in their hands...plus a few recent Sisters shows... So here's some Sunday "Ship of Fools" for all of you...follow the link and click on the treasure chest to hear this gem from Friday night... Ship of Fools
  6. What sound does a Leaf's players tears make when hitting the ice???
  7. What Ollie, scared that Toronto might squeak by and pound your Sens??? ahhh whatever, Jersey put in Clemmensen so I'm not holding my breath on this one... ...and NY is already up 1-0...
  8. Actually I've been busier than a one legged short person in an ass-kicking contest these past months... Didn't have time to make posts of any sort like when my Loafs lost or won...Raycroft has been a thorn in my side all season and from the get go last night he "didn't look right in the head" so pretty happy they yanked him... If the Leafs didn't start the 3rd period with the 2 man advantage I think we'd be seeing a different outcome today...I may be a Leaf fan but that doesn't make me an idiot...
  9. ...and Leafs fans are sane???
  10. I swear I could hear you, your brother and Punk groaning in unison as the clock wound down... Lucky toque wins one...
  11. Friday, April 13th... Kevin Breit, Harry Manx & Ian deSouza @ Hugh's Room + sweet O-Town peeps + Pro Tools Recording = One Perfect Friday 13
  12. Get lost freak...go sell your crazy somewhere else, we're all full up here! Welcome to a place waste away minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years of your life...it'a all good!
  13. Not only did they win the Juno for Best Instrumental Album but so did the engineer John "Beetle" Bailey for Best Engineer...I had the pleasure to hang with John when the Sisters recorded Faith Cola and also talk shop with him at his incredible studio...a terrific guy... Congrats to all of them!!!
  14. Just another reason why I love TP...she's got this on her myspace... The Secret Peanut Butta Jelly Bread & Butta
  15. Oh, sorry, I forgot to mention that The Sisters are nominated for a Juno for their "Run Neil Run" CD...congrats to them!!!
  16. Ummm, not sure about yer question there Zero...if you know Kevin then ask him about the list thing...if yer stranded in TO then you're in the right place as that's where the Orbit is...but you know that... So cough up the $6 and have one less beer... Faith Cola or Tumbleweed is worth that alone...
  17. Really wish I could catch UM and see some O-Town faces but that'll be the last classes before I give my 2nd Semester Exam which means my ass'll be in London ahhh Phorbesie how you make me laugh so ...I miss posting and uploading tunes from Monday night...gawd those where great memories and it's my long-term goal to compile a disc of "Breit Anecdotes" as those are priceless...
  18. Hey Ollie, Good to read your note...I've been so busy this year...teaching & our audio company has been doing quite a few animation productions...worked my ass into insanity this past fall up until Christmas and then it was recovery time from severe stress...lotsa rum'n'eggnog'n'coke'n'whatever to help ease my mind back into a safe place Wish I could've made it up to O-Town for the Nero weekend but my weekends are spent getting ready for my classes and laundry...looking forward to end of April for a bit of downtime and hopefully catch a show with some familiar faces... Yeah, I love hearing Kevin sing as well...he puts his heart into it without question!!! Be well!!!
  19. Well, as it's Reading Week I have a night off to take in some Sisters...and to fix my withdrawl symptoms...HOW I MISS MY ORBIT MONDAYS!!! So I was inspired to update our site with Kevin & The Sisters covering Steve Earl's "I Ain't Ever Satisfied" with Kevin crooning to us lucky folk from the last show before Christmas... Just follow this link, click on the banner for David Drage and click on the pic of the Sisters for this gem though Kevin'll probably put my balls in a vice for uploading this one but it's great to hear him sing... I Ain't Ever Satisfied Enjoy
  20. Looks like mounds of fun kids...I think my favourite pic from Ms. Hux's shots are of Dr.E & Calamity Jane...nice one!!!
  21. Nero...Nero...Nero... Oh wait, yeah, that fuggin' band that STOLE my room-mate ONE FREAKIN' MONTH AFTER MOVING INTO OUR SWEET SWEET BEACH-HAUS! DIRTY BASTARDS!!! Actually, no one had "been caught stealin'" as Buote was on a path that led him to a great city, great friends and a fantastic musical experience that many of us were lucky to have caught every one in a while Because of Chris meeting and hooking up with Nero I was fortunate to meet some great folk who I am now happy to call friends though I hardly get to see cause y'all live in O-Town and it's a bloody four hour drive... Punk & Nero have been front and centre on my mind lately as I've just moved to a sweet spot and was unpacking boxes that had stuff we had all bought as roomies at the Beachhaus...even lyrics that Mr. Buote penned himself to a song that never materialized (DownTime era and future blackmail material ) Driving through T-Dot I constantly think of the Punk and how he navigated those trecherous streets while working insane hours for his cousin and only finding himself in a few fender-bender mishaps...but boy-howdy did he look stylish with a cup of Timmy's brew and a smoke dangling from his grime-caked face... Good times, good times, good times... And then hanging with the boys and Tungsten while they were recording ZeDonk in T-Dot was a nice treat...always love to be witness to creativity as some of it finds it's way into my own work in some small way...and I'm still trying to track down the artist who created an amazing piece of 3D animation and used "Breakline" for the music...I swear I emailed her yesterday but it bounced back... Nero...hearing those sweet note of Condor...and asking myself, "Is it morning, yet?" Have a great weekend in Ottawa!!!
  22. Woah, have another NYE Drink there CB Cheers & Happy New Years!!!
  23. Well one way to get an idea is from the prices themselves...$99.99 for a drive speaks volumes to me...I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft cable In the tek-world you really do get what you pay for...if you travel the cheap road you're bound to be in for a bumpy ride...
  24. Sorry to hear about your dying drive...been there and it sucks!!! I have a 250 Gig USB2 drive that I use for back-up for all kinds of projects, sessions and files but when it comes to heavy duty applications I always have the data going toeither an internal drive (physically seperate from the system drive) or to an external LaCie FW drive and the only problem I've experienced was one of the power supplies just died which is far better than the drive going down and important files being lost...seen that happen and it ain't pretty!!!
  25. ahhh...that would be a definite yes that FireWire transfers much more smoothly than USB 2 without question...and definitely more stable... Any professional audio/video house prefers FireWire over USB because of this and other factors. USB 2 is great for other applications, but I'm guessing Kev wants this for audio which is why I highly recommend a FireWire drive over a USB 2 drive but that's just my educated humble opinion...
