the first time I met Yo was in San Francisco in front of The Fillmore. I was talking to mooose on my cell phone and noticed this VW van with a wicked airbrushed paint job. I looked down to notice the Ontario plate and had to introduce myself. I was there with DSO at this show... I put his name on the guestlist and he gave me an entire box of papers, bags of hemp seed and more to put in the green room. I remember we piled into my friend Ryans van and puffed a bunch of good herb before the show good times Yo rocks !

if you are running maybe! there is a bus from Union Station (72A) it goes to Pape Station...turns down Cherry and then left on Commissioners, so you have to get off there and walk. During the summer the 172 goes down to Cherry Beach, but not this time of year. The Saturday schedule is a little different then mid week though. Check the ttc website and look up the 72A bus

i'm on the fence but leaning towards not going. i've seen Toots a few times and IMO his shows are pretty freakin' cheese! I love his music but live it becomes irritating. However, good friends are coming in from out of town for the show and I rarely get to see them, so... Too bad it's $30..not really worth it. Stephen Marley w/ Damian "Jr.Gong" Marley and K'naan are coming up soon (also at The Phoenix) and it's $25 Now THAT I would have a good time at! Enjoy though folks...reggae shows are the best :thumbup:

Friday night at the docks is this reggae show

my sister went to that show on Sunday night and said she was very impressed with their skills as musicians. Nelson is great for being so "out of the way" and yet bringing good bands to town. hey TF...my sister and her family (husband & kids) live on hwy#6 between Lemon Creek and Slocan City. She works at the cafe in Winlaw sometimes when she isn't teaching reading at the elementary school..her name is Michele... Nelson is a good hike from Nakusp..good for you for supporting the music.
