I thought the season was uneven. There was a few dog episodes in there. Overall, I thought the finale was pretty good, just like Season III as a whole. However, the finale is an excellent lead-in to Season IV, especially the first episode.
I know young ears are super-sensitive, but I highly doubt this will be a loud show. I've seen Krauss twice and her sound is far from The Who circa 1976 Guinness Book of Records.
I haven't listened to the leak. I don't download. I heard a bunch of the songs live at the Berkeley show and have heard a few others on youtube. Of the songs I've heard, the three I mentioned are my favourite.
I am going to make a point of going to this town and specifically Peter's Place this summer. This may be the coolest blues venue in the province. From today's Toronto Star (great article by the way): http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/article/416807
A real Ramone doing country... cooool! For the uninitiated (and The Ramones timeline can be confusing), Tommy was the original Ramones drummer from 1974-78 and then again in 1984. He quit drums to manage the band and produce. He was replaced by Marky Ramone (who is the only other legit surviving member). Sounds like a great night.
The Guvernment's website states that tickets for this show are being sold at Rotate This (news to me) and Sonic Temple. I may head over to Rotate This at lunch.
It's not really that sci-fi of a series compared to say, Babylon 5 or my beloved Farscape. If anyone is looking for a series similar in tone to BSG, check out Joss Wheadon's Firefly series. It's a western in space... with some nasty cannibals. Firefly is as good as TV gets.
Their upcoming June show at Kool Haus will set you back $29.99 at Ticketmaster, not including service charges. If you want to roll the dice and get the tickets at the door, then go for it, but I want no part of that risky action. Rotate This as of today aren't selling tickets. Is there another indie store that is selling tickets for this show? Soundscapes?
Does anyone remember how bad Frank batted in the first half of last year? If he had a steady batting year, they would have made more noise down the stretch. The Jays can't afford to have him "potentially" do the same thing this year; there's more on the line.
