One of the great power-pop bands of the 80's and 90's. I'm still sad about Paul Hester's strange affliction (of being mortally afraid of leaving his immediate surroundings) that eventually led to his suicide.

Every time I saw them live, there was always a section that had some serious looping and trancy shit, usually when Al switched to the keyboard/synth. Boring crap. Al shreds way too much. To put it a less subtle way: Al blows his wad far too prematurely to keep my attention for a 2 hour-plus concert.

I've seen them three times and own two of their albums. They do nothing for me, and I've tried. Al ruins the band for me, along with their techno love affair.

Edit: I'm still trying to convince myself that Galactic and moe. are good bands.

Of course you're right but I always worry when we hang the entire team on one man. Not good. The thing is, Bosh is their only inside threat. Take him out of the mix and the Raps turn into a shooting only team. And if they don't shoot well, then they will lose. Plus, teams can cover one-dimensional offenses quite easily.

Bosh is the leader. They are nothing without him. 3/4 of the team never played together (as a team) until this season. This streak isn't a shock.

Their fate was sealed before the first note was played. The reviewer used the concert as a platform.

It makes me wonder what the reviewer thinks of The Killers and Franz Ferdinand.

Holy fuck! I just walked by there yesterday. I went shopping in Yorkville and looked in the restaurant. This is terrible news. Yorkville won't be the same. The building had a lot of character.
