  1. Saunders is from Toronto and having Flutie doing the colour - along with all the over-the-top gushing comments and beauty shots of city streets and landmarks - it's pretty obvious Toronto Tourism is paying off ESPN large.
  2. ESPN crew Doug Flutie and Craig James just used the Stefan clip to make fun of anchor John Saunders during the International Bowl game. Man, that Stefan kid is getting it even at a nothing football game.
  3. If anyone cares outside of the US and in particular the towns/schools where the teams are from, The International Bowl is on TSN right now from the Rogers Centre featuring Cincinnati Bearcats (Big East Champs) vs Western Michigan Broncos (Mid-American Conference). I think this would make a better basketball game. Horribly advertised by TSN and Rogers for a less-than-exciting match-up between non-rivals. Toronto Tourism had there hands all over this bowl game. Toronto being one of the worst sports cities in North America.
  4. He is at that. Maybe part of this is due to Stefan being a major bust in the NHL to this point.
  5. If this defection bothers you and you are considering buying a Mazda in the Toronto area, boycott Dufferin Mazda. Wajid is the owner and is a local media celebrity due to his radio commericals and subsequent guest appearances on The Fan 590 sports radio programs. Morning drive host Don Landry does a perfect immitation of Wajid. Fucking hilarious. I'm shocked Wajid jumped ship.
  6. Incredible end to the Oilers-Stars game from a couple of nights ago. Too bad the Oil eventually lost in a shootout... but at least they got a point from nothing:
  7. And the ref is letting them play. The calls were good calls.
  8. Too bad Bjore Salming is too old. Who has the nose to play Townshend? There's also casting possibilities with Keith's former drinking pals Harry Nilsson, Ringo Star and Graham Chapman.
  9. He's a huge Who and Moon fan. I think he'll pull of an older Moon.
  10. I have a feeling seeing this flick will be a sobering experience.
  11. Roger Daltrey held a press conference confirming Mike Myers as the lead in the Keith Moon bio-pic. Moon is my favourite rock star/drummer of all time, so I hope Myers can pull it off. Myers is too old to play a young Moon (and Moon looked really youthful throughout the 60's), but he could play him from the 1973-78 era - not many rockers aged worse or let themselves go as quickly as Keith. Best of luck Roger (who is producing the film). Incidently, Keith and Roger never got along. Pete and Keith were great friends.
  12. Between Ossington and Pape? Yes, but so too are at least 15 stops. I'm talking the University line at Osgoode (Queen Street) - which runs north-south. The Bloor line runs east-west, including stops at Ossington and Pape. The dude plays a beat-up National and has a wicked looking beard.
  13. Agreed. That guy is awesome. I once asked him to play Leory Carr's "How Long Blues" and played it ont he spot. He's got the blues repertoire down. How much did you give him? (out of curiosity) A couple of bucks from time to time, although he's a semi-regular there.
  14. The delta blues guitarist/singer that usually plays the University-Osgoode line is really good.
  15. Are you going to be in Ottawa next weekend? I'll be there you fucking wanking Sundin puck-bunny.
  16. Don't forget that you can stream the game live on the TSN.ca board... for Canadian residents only. Low Roller can catch only a tape-delayed game on-line. While he's at it, maybe he should check out that Jack Johnson play from last year too.
  17. Not from where I was standing. I thought the audio was perfect.

For me, being in attendance to see CBGB legends Television live @ The Phoenix headlining last year's NXNE festival will never be topped.
  19. I still love best of all, nero's performance when they opened for moe. at The Phoenix. I believe it was near the time when nero called it quits. Sure the hard-core nero fans have said that they've had better nights, but for me, nero was better than their headliners and had finally reached their zenith as an innovative rock-instrumental power-trio.
  20. Have you added Rafer Alston as your pick as a write-in candidate yet?
  21. I hate both Jack Johnsons, but the hockey one is one hell of a defenseman.
  22. Olive's dance at the end was hilarious and perfect. Fantastic movie.
  23. Hey Roller, the Canadian fans were booing Jack Johnson more than the US team as a whole. Did you watch last year's Canada-US game?

    The Great One

Alas, the Steps is no longer. It's now a Subway and a Ginger Vietnamese restaurant. We now like to meet at the Timothy's.
