  1. As if Chameleon has that kind of scratch. He can't even afford a spell-checker.
  2. I'll bet you 50$ Arod gets it. A-Rod's current contract is 10 years at $252 million.

Well' date=' I dont know what a number means outside of myself Guigs and Zero.............[/quote'] That's more than one, so a "number" applies in my books. I'll guarantee that you'll see me bring out some devil horns tonight... and it may be even during a ballad.

I talked to Booche today. He said they blowed the roof off in Hamilton. They even did a heavy AC/DC cover that brought out a number of devil-horn hand gestures.
  6. Congratulations. Which downtown HMV is it? Bloor & Yonge or Dundas & Yonge? I have a friend that works at the Bloor store and I shop there from time to time.

    BEER!!

I love some of the beers the Kingston Brew Pub brews. White Tale is one of the best beers I've ever had. Dragon's Breath (available at some liquor stores) isn't bad. They also have some nice darker ales, but it's all about White Tale. I believe Davey Boy has polished off a keg of the stuff at one sitting on a number of occassions.
  8. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing body outlines marking the spot where every single pedestrian lost their life at the hands of a speeding motorist - even name the fucking idiot speeding-addicted asshhole in paint beside the outline. For instance, the Danforth in Toronto is a pedestrian area with shops, restaurants, schools along with thriving neighbourhoods, but cars speed excessively down the street every minute of every day. People are getting run-over too. Get people outraged. Get drivers to think. So what if it's a fucking eyesore.
  9. If my late father died in a car accident, I'd probably put up some form of monument like a floral arrangement by the roadside in tribute. However, he died of cancer so a cemetary is fitting.
  10. ... to help clean up her image. This is a pretty weird and sad read. From MSN.ca
  11. If one plaque/flower arrangement on the 401 could make an aggressive driver and/or speeder change their ways, then I'm all for it.
  12. I don't know who that skank is, but I find your paraphrased comments somewhat ridiculous. Strangers often leave flowers at murder scenes - like in front of the Yonge Steet store where the Creba girl was killed. That story touched a lot of people and it is a way of showing immediate sympathy and support. Funerals are not always open to everyone, so why not leave something symbolic like a flower or a doll where the unfortuate event occurred.
  13. If plaques get approved, the 401 will look like the biggest cemetary in the world.
  14. Longevity with a good point output is almost always awarded Hall-wise, unless your name is Dino or Ray Ferraro.
  15. True, but not in the case of the Royals. Meche may not want to live in a big city, but he showed his true colours by not signing with a contender when the dough was offered. The Royals are the worst team in all of baseball, period.
  16. He reinvented his role as a player as he got older, not unlike Kirk Muller (but Joe was a better player). I think he deserves to be in the Hall, but he may have to wait awhile.
  17. Gil Meche is about to sign with the powerhouse Kansas City Royals. I guess he thinks the Royals have a better shot than the Jays and Yankees.
  18. Breaking news: Nik Antropov injured himself in today's practice. He turned his ankle by just skating around - no one was near him according to Maurice. He's listed as day-to-day.
  19. He's going into either his 8th or 9th year. He's 31. He was injured-prone through the early part of his career. But, I have to stop making excuses for this punk because I hate JD Drew more than Booche hates the Leafs.
  20. And there we have Schilling acting like Schilling. He was Drew's biggest critic when he was drafted. Drew isn't worth 70mil. No one is, but I'm loving the Sox signing of Drew. They can have the fucking prick and clubhouse cancer.
  21. JD Drew is right in his prime. He started playing in the majors right out of college ball. He's also the first player to snub the team that drafted him. He's hated amongst many owners and players, the most outspoked being (surprise surprise), Curt Shilling.
  22. Simon sang lead and back-up on Pete's Iron Man album from the late 80's. He also sang back-up on other Pete projects. As for Pete's lack of lead playing, I remember reading that Pete severely fucked his already fucked up ears on the 2002-03 tours. I think that's why he's all but given up his shredding days. This is a rock tragedy.
  23. He played a few (brief) solos' date=' about what I expected. Aloha, Brad[/quote'] Why would you say that? For the past decade until this tour, Townshend has virtually reinvented his lead playing. He sheds like a mofo, or he did until this tour.
  24. I'm going to my first ever Slip gig in Toronto. Booche and Douglas are staying at my place and helping me play hooky from work... bless their souls.
  25. And I didn't go to The Mule either. The Slip better be fucking good this Saturday. Seriously, I like Roger & Pete's new album, but not enough to shell out the dough for a concert featuring my second and least favourite Who members.
