I plan on having a drink first thing in the morning and likely not stopping until the next morning.
  6. Glad to hear you boys are having fun!
  7. I think this would make a great Tummies cover. Er, maybe more of a late night Mung encore.
  8. Is anyone streaming? I've been watching hockey but thought I would check in on intermission. Does anyone have a stream of a stream? WINE!!

I love most sparkling wine but I think champagne is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. Prosecco is fun and cava is a close imitation but real champagne has so much more going on then the other sparklers. I just wish I could afford it more often.
  11. If I had one wish that I could wish this holiday season, it would be that all the children to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace. If I had two wishes I could make this holiday season, the first would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing in the spirit of harmony and peace. And the second would be for 30 million dollars a month to be given to me, tax-free in a Swiss bank account. You know, if I had three wishes I could make this holiday season, the first, of course, would be for all the children of the world to get together and sing, the second would be for the 30 million dollars every month to me, and the third would be for encompassing power over every living being in the entire universe. And if I had four wishes that I could make this holiday season, the first would be the crap about the kids definitely, the second would be for the 30 million, the third would be for all the power, and the fourth would be to set aside one month each year to have an extended 31-day orgasm, to be brought out slowly by Rosanna Arquette and that model Paulina-somebody, I can't think of her name. Of course my lovely wife can come too and she's behind me one hundred percent here, I guarantee it. Wait a minute, maybe the sex thing should be the first wish, so if I made that the first wish, because it could all go boom tomorrow, then what do you got, y'know? No, no, the kids, the kids singing would be great, that would be nice. But wait a minute, who am I kidding? They're not going to be able to get all those kids together. I mean, the logistics of the thing is impossible, more trouble than it's worth! So -- we reorganize! Here we go. First, the sex thing. We go with that. Second, the money. No, we got with the power second, then the money. And then the kids. Oh wait, oh jeez, I forgot about revenge against my enemies! Okay, I need revenge against all my enemies, they should die like pigs in hell! That would be my fourth wish. And, of course, my fifth wish would be for all the children of the world to join hands and sing together in the spirit of harmony and peace. Thank you everybody and Merry Christmas.
  12. Thanks for the suggestions AD! Will I be seeing you at nero?

    Louis C.K.

Very cool! I will gladly pay him $5.
  14. Having worked in the restaurant industry for years, I can tell you that New Years Eve is one of, if not, the worst nights to dine out. Everyone is rushed, the kitchen is overworked, the service is usually shitty because they are so busy and the food often suffers. Even the best restaurants struggle on NYE. That being said...I'm in Ottawa for New Years. We are staying at the Westin. Where should I eat? It will probably be a party of 4 or many more. I'm thinking something semi- casual where it won't be a big fuss or celebration. Just good honest food and decent ambiance. Any ideas?

    I'm starting to get pumped!
  16. Let's check it out when it comes to town. I really want to go to Sushi Kaji. It is in a dive part of town on the Queensway in Etobicoke. The place looks like crap but it wins the award of best sushi in pretty much every Toronto poll I have ever seen. It is usually rated in the top 10 restaurants in the city, which is interesting when you see how glam the competition is.
  17. Does anyone know if this going to be a sold out show? I have a work christmas party that night but was thinking of showing up to the show around midnight to catch what I can.
  18. I finished The Night Circus a few weeks ago and loved it! It had me staying up late turning the pages. Thanks for the rec POG. I just finished The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine by Michael Lewis. It was pretty cool look in to the causes of the financial meltdown in the US. It really brought in to light what a delicate house of cards our whole economic system is built on. No one really understands all of it. Kinda scary. I'm currently reading The Help, which is great so far. Next up, The Cat's Table.
