I was wondering about M Ward. I didn't hear much chatter about his set and he has been on my radar for a few years.

For realz! Remember when I missed some of The Slip's set as I was taking a customer's order. I had to lug around that lap top all day on Sunday. Damn. Glad I left that job!

This is my first year where I get to stay for the whole festival. I usually leave Sunday afternoon b/c of work on Monday. I'm still working on Monday, probably not very effectively, but still working.

Tungsten also gave me the heads up on a bunch of other acts to keep an eye out for. If he doesn't pop in this thread I will post his picks later in the week. Tungsten usually knows more of the acts then I do and he hasn't steered me wrong yet so I often follow his advice.

Dan Magnan, Hannah Gorgeous, Sweet Thing and Sheep Dogs are all on my radar.

In! What bands are people pumped to see? One of the best things about Hillside is not knowing half the bands going in and coming out with a bunch of new favourites! So far the two bands I was most excited about seeing (Karl D and Hollerado) are playing at the same time.

I PVR'ed last night's season opener and can't wait to get to it tonight! I had the same issues with the audio for The Yard. It started pretty good, but I gave up about 10 mins in b/c I couldn't hear it. Looks pretty awesome.

I'm very happy that all of my Ottawa friends and family are safe. Crazy situation and end to what sounded like an amazing festival. Vibes to those who were hurt.
