bouche
A bunch of us are going to see Rain:The Beatles Experience at the NAC on Feb. 21st. As a crazed Beatles fanatic, I used to see Beatle acts in Kingston in the late 80's early 90's but I haven't seen anything remotely similar nearby since. These things are always so much fun. Beatles fans, click on the following links! Tickemaster link Check out some vids!

Del
Closest Beatles experience I ever had was seeing the Pete Best Band in Thunder Bay... It was a free ticket, and an awesome show as well... I remember the lead singer repeatedly yelling "We're from Liverpool!"... They closed the show with Hey Jude. I met Pete Best and shook his hand... Yes, that's right, I've met a Beatle...
Douglas
original drummer, right??? hey....Booche wants to know where his "How 'bout that Phil Lesh ~Pete Best" autograph is.
Lazlo
A pseudo Beatle. My show was free too. Snuck in through Doug Feaver at the Casbah. Hope whiteymuseum doesn't this see post.
Hux
I saw McCartney in TO in '93, last tour with Linda
Booche
Sorry Hux, but Del's story is waaaaaaaaaaay cooler to me.He met the equivalent of Jeff Holdsworth. You saw some guy that replaced Paul because the original died.
Hux
Well, in 2000 I met The Other One's bass player Alphonso Johnson, surely that would out rank Del's PB story? Having Alphonso in the band - wow - I can still hear the Lesh-less harmonies..... .....Bring back Alphy!!!
Booche
I just peed and spit up at the same time.

Del
I didn't really think much of it at the time... We all kind of went for a joke... Looking back, it was pretty cool...

Hux
An interview with Weir, included on a promotional CD for the Built to Last album, includes a hilarious retelling of the origin of this phrase, which just popped out of Phil Lesh's mouth one day while the band was sitting around in the studio: "Picasso moon. I don't know why I said that!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Yessssssssssssssssssssssss............. :) Best thing Lesh has ever come up with IMO. Booche
Once again, you missed the moral of the story not unlike Bobby fails with his inflections.Phil was making a comment when he first heard that tune. He beant over and while pointing at his ass with a pick he yelled out:"This song sounds like its a Pick ASS - Oh moon"

I'm going to the Monday show already and since that one is selling very well, they added another show. Cool.
