any show where brent and jerry are playin there little jam games! i love those two guy! lol but really i dont think i could pick one show. even one song. it all depends on the mood im in! i will keep my eyes and ears open for the PERFECT show! its gotta be around 88-89. when brent and jer were in the right mood those two could play the stripes right off a zebra!they could talk back and forth with there insturments. there only one word for that, BEAUTIFUL. good morning everyone, have a nice day!

Somebody gave me this show, a tape not too many down the line, and not long after the fact, and it continues to blow my mind. I'm sure I keep mentioning it here, but that 'cause, well, it keeps blowing my mind.

1989-08-19

The first set it wonderfully tight (and loose), and the second just goes right over the top at every turn. The China-Rider is an absolute gem, as is everything going into drums/space (which Jerry seems to have liked enough to work into Infrared Roses - I love the sonic massage coming out of drums). The Other One here is apoplectic. The Wharf Rat can summon tears. E of Foolish Heart, which seems not to want to ever stop. Ambrosia, from start to finish; everybody's at the top of their game, and playing with power and subtlety. If I went door to door like the Mormons down the street, this is the one I'd be leaving in people's hands.

That was one of the first classics someone ever wised me up to - this guy we used to know in Ottawa, old school trader, with a direct line to the Vault, used to talk incessantly about fourtwentynineseventyone, to the point where I finally said OKfineI'lllistentothedamnthing, which on the whole made my life that much richer.

Tell me there's a better way to start a show the Let the Good Times Roll and I'll tell you you're a liar.

I mean seriously. A few notes, one verse and a chorus and the whole dam house is on the same wave length, smiliing, and downright happy.

This source is different than the audience that has been in circulation, though I personally have had this new source for a few years, might have gotten it from Furthurnet but don't remember. In any case, a fantastic and energetic late-70's show. Hot setlist, hot playing, Bobby in tune and Donna on-key most of the time :D:D:D
