Blane
We love arguing as much as we hate the Leafs.Leaf hatred is the "hands across america" kind of unifying force that brings this board together. I love it.
SevenSeasJim
Alright you dicks. The problem with the Leafs is that before the salary cap they could trade away their draft picks and buy anybody they wanted. They didn't need a farm team.Times have changed and they have to catch up.
Hal Johnson
But they still trade away their picks because even though the times have changed, they've still got a Caveman for a GM.

rubberdinghy
Sources tell TSN Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mark Bell has been reinstated, ending his indefinite suspension after being placed into stage two of the NHL's substance abuse program last month.Bell will now begin serving the additional 15 game suspension handed down by the National Hockey League and won't make his Maple Leafs debut until November 6th in Ottawa. The suspension stems from a drunk driving incident in California last year. Bell will begin serving a six-month jail sentence at the end of the season. In August, Bell pleaded no contest to drunk driving and hit and run charges and put into stage two of the NHL's substance abuse program.Related InfoThe former member of the San Jose Sharks and Chicago Blackhawks has been training with the Maple Leafs during the indefinite suspension.why does he get to wait until the end of the season to serve jail time? Jakis
It was his sentance. It happens all the time for sentance's like this. Including in Canada. A lot of times people charged for drunk driving will serve jail time on weekends so they can still work.

Go HIGH GLOVE SIDE Like there's anyone in the NHL who doesn't know that by now!!
AD
McCabe's the big orange pylon, right?
Kanada Kev
He's not THAT big ... easier to skate around, like a small pilon.I hope it's a fun game. I'm gonna catch the first period prior to some Mule then catch the high(low)lights after the show.Sould be interesting to see if the Blake/Sundin/Antropov line starts to click. Drop the puck! hamilton
The main problem, as it has always been, is that the Leafs can't protect a lead properly.
