Booche
That's been everywhere lately. The Leafs would be wise to move him if they arent going to make the playoffs.
Whitey
Mats has said many times, he does not want to go anywhere.
Guest Low Roller
Nobody deserves to play their entire career in Toronto.
Booche
Whitey, dont you think Sundin pretty much has to say that? Think about what would happen if he didnt.
Whitey
Yes, I absolutely agree he has to say that, but I think he is being honest. There have been opprotunities to trade him and they don't. He could have signed somewhere else last summer, but he chose to stay with the Leafs when he knew they were not going to be one of the top teams in the league. Whitey
Great win. Lots of nice goals and another great perfornance by Vesa. Maybe the Lightning would like to take Raycroft off of our hands. They look like they need some help in goal.
AD
he chose to stay with the Leafs when he knew they were not going to be one of the top teams in the league. It doesn't strike me as all that healthy when the captain of the team has little or no discernible ambition or drive to win a Cup, selfishly or not. Doesn't every player want to win a Cup? Mats is content to stay in Toronto and not win one? I think he's got the drive but knows it would kill the Leafs if he left.
AD
oh, and 6-1 - jeez. sell some of those extra goals to Ottawa please.
Kanada Kev
Leafs kicked-ass last night! That second period flurry of goals was unbelievable. A lot of really nice goals too. They shut down the Bolts and had them running. Pretty impressive to keep Lecavalier off the scoreboard these days.Seven game road trip coming up. Should be a good test. dave-O
Brad Boyes update - 27 points in 28 games, Boyes is now tied for 6th in the league with 18 goals.
Booche
The Boyes updates are better than the Bochenski ones!
djmelbatoast
Was it Nolan they got for Boyes & McCauley?A better question might be have they made any good trades since the early 90's?

Jakis
Another nice win by the leafs. Toskala is playing really good. Hope he and the team can keep it up. Bring on the Canadians.
Kanada Kev
Gotta love those 2nd periods for the Leafs! Used to always be the worst period for them it seemed.Toskala (and the pipes) really helped out the Leafs tonight. Poni nicely picked his targets too.SHould be a fantastic game on Saturday night. Booche
I heard Price was going back to the minors even though "he hone da Leafs" so far.
Jaimoe
A devastating way to lose a game. Giving up two goals late in the game only to lose it in OT. Brutal stuff. And how soft defensively were Antropov and Ponikarovsky late in the game? It's a rhetorical question. Hilarious game Leaf losers.
dave-O
Wow, that was some beauty play by Antropov and Ponikarovski with the Carolina net open.

Jaimoe
I was talking to Booche when the Canes scored two late goals to tie it. I told him: "You want to hear some good news?" I never had the chance to tell him that the Leafs went on to lose.
Kanada Kev
That was the most unbelievable fuckup with only 90seconds left in a shutout game! They should feel lucky to be walking out of there with one point. Refs were fuckups with the penalty calls/noncalls going both ways too.
