Weirdness
What are your favourite record shops??? I would like to compile a list of everyones favourites across the country/continent so that if any of us find ourselves wherever then we will know where to go to find the goods. As far as I'm concerned, indie record shops rule!!! StoneMtn
What's a record?
Weirdness
A CD is also a record. Just as a band might say "this one is off our new album(or record)" even though their recording might only be available on CD. I'm pretty sure that they're still called "record stores" and not "CD stores" but I could be wrong about that. I'll edit my original post if it's that obscure but hopefully y'all get the idea here. StoneMtn
I'm just messin' with ya, Weirdness. You're probably right, and a CD may very well be a "record". (Arlo Guthrie certainly always uses the term when he's talking about his current CDs.)No offence intended. (I should've used purple.)Don't edit your post on my account. Dr_Evil_Mouse
Is that old record store (I forget the name) in Toronto at Danforth and Greenwood still around? They used to have a basement full of lps for $1 - lots of schmaltz, but I found lots of gems there too (you just have to leave yourself a couple of afternoons).
