Water street is killer. I saw Medeski, wood, Stubblefield and Scofield there on the "a go go" tour when Martin was sick and it has great acoustics. kookycanooky
....did you say too big??? opera house is tiny for a band like them...(well...it may actually be a good size). the elmo is TINY, has bad sightlines, and becomes a furnace when the place packs up....and the stage is rather small. I hate the opera house, but whatever. Hehehehe, see all you ottawa peeps soon. bring nero.

boogieknight
why they would play the opera house, and on a tuesday....horrible way to play a city for the first time.Bands play here on weeknights b/c it is a small market. Weekend shows are usually saved for places that can sell out, or at least get more than a couple hundred people.I'm not a huge UM fan, mainly b/c I haven't seen them that often and am not familar with all their material. I am looking forward to show. I need more fresh live music to boogie.
