Velvet
Last night 44 Main caught fire. Looks like the second floor is pretty toasted. The landlord called today and it seems the tenants (including Jeremy from the 3 Jimmys) had no insurance. It reminded me that I had let my insurance lapse. I'm not a big fan of house fires, and it's especially disturbing when they hit close to home.

Velvet
An update:It seems the fire was contained mainly to a room on the second floor. Everyone got out okay and most of the property in the house is not damaged too badly. The occupants are gathering their things and finding new places to live. It seems the house might sit in it's burned-iout state for a while. It could have been much, much worse but it still sucks pretty hard for them.
