Rob Not Bob
Never, ever, ever have I bawled my eyes out like I did watching Madonna play Eva Peron belting out "Don't cry for me Argentina" from her little balcony thingy. er... nothing. Not even the last scene of the last episode of Six Feet Under? (My official record longest sustained televisual/cinematic cry, and I cry at a lot of things.)

Ms.Huxtable
I bet I could sing along to 65% of Evita and likely 85% of Phantom. I won't though. Don't worry.
Sheebs
I'm sorry but Evita is the hardest female role efer written for a musical and Madonna sucked the big one. they modified all the keys because she has a shitty pop star range, the only reason she got the part is because the resemblance between the two woman is uncanny. also why did they add the stupid extra song? just so she could release a single. fuck Madonna!sorry I'm a bit of a music theatre nerd and Evita is one of my favs, except when ruined by hollywood hacks! Kanada Kev
Ugh ... i don't mind musicals, but a lot of them are crap. Modonna? Antonio Banderas? Check out Mambo Kings ... kickass soundtrack and a good movie! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mambo_Kings For my "televisual/cinematic cry" i gotta go with the final episode of M*A*S*H* ... that's a doozy Edited January 7, 2008 by Guest

Kanada Kev
For a musical to see live that is pretty powerful go and see Les Miserables. It's not very happy, but what do you expect with that title? Seriously though, it's a damn good one.
Birdy
I'm not saying Evita the movie was good or bad.. just that I bawled my eyes out.. the whole climatic singing of 'don't cry for me argentina' in front of a weeping nation of mourners who love her.. that stuff pulls at the heart strings! hamilton
I just saw Grease on the weekend. I really enjoyed it, but I probably would have enjoyed it more if it hadn't been done entirely in Korean. Thankfully I had seen the movie multiple times when I was a kid, so I knew what was going on anyway.
