balogna pogna
Zeppelin (the Led one) aren't playing. But yes, in your hypothetical they are much larger. Sorry that was "Lez Zeppelin" I read. Edited February 6, 2008 by Guest

Jaimoe
I like this lineup so far. Kanye West puts on one hell of a show too. I hope they don't schedule The Swell Season to play the main stage. They are a folk duo and a smaller stage would be the ideal setting to see this incredible act. dimafleck: the living legend.
i guess...looking at it now..my only beef is:metallica sucks ass.totally irrelavent and lame. horrible attitudes and rep regarding their fans/over pretentious lars is a bitch vibe.andjack johnson is a weak headliner as well.everything else...kinda tasty. balogna pogna
what does it matter about their attitudes? They thought they could make a lot of money with cheesy metal ballads and inspired a generation Of Creeds and Nickelbacks. Master of Puppets & Justice for All are good albums but I'll never forgive them for Nickelback.
djmelbatoast
I'll second the Metallica sucking ass statement. With this line-up I would probably have made it down, but Metallica is a deal breaker. They do suck and will bring an overly aggressive and generally assholish vibe to the festival. Hal Johnson
I saw Metallica live once, they f'n rocked it large. I guess the crowd kinda sucked, but didnt really bother me! I couldnt see them playing any of their later shit either...maybe the black album as the very latest stuff.
AD
Ladies and gentlemen: the new Kreskin!I thought Alice in Chains / Pearl Jam / Seattle in the 90s scene inspired the Creeds and NickelbacksOh well. I'm gonna go and I'm gonna love it. Metallica are awesome live. Plus they should be done their latest album with Rubin and no doubt it will be heavy. fluffhead77
oh yeah - if you go, DO NOT miss Ghostland Observatory. Awesome live show.yes, this is what I hear also...Pearl Jam - seen them twice, that's enoughMetallica - no interest, but I'm sure it would be decentJack Johnson - Give me a fucking break. This guy is a headliner??? fucking brutal. His homogeneous brand of pussy surfer music should be limited to adult contemporary AM stations at best and at worst not listened to at all. Deeps
What are people's thoughts on tribute acts making the fest?I'll throw Serena Ryder in on that along with Lez Zeppelin too because Serena's only album with widespread sales is an album of middle of the road covers.Your thoughts? djmelbatoast
Serena Ryder has a couple of other albums that aren't horrible full of her own material. She does have a nice voice, and probably got a ton of exposure on the Xavier Rudd tour.
