Davey Boy 2.0
You could even fit a Sackville date on the 25th...George's Roadhouse 67 Lorne St. 506-536-2320Paul Henderson - paul@sappyrecords.com or Mt.A pub (small venue though) email: sacentertainment@mta.ca
thomson
From www.thespades.caNovember 22Creemore (The Spades only)Avening Community HallI highly recommend going to the show on November 22nd. The Avening Community Centre (affectionately referred to as the ACC north) is a wonderfuly quaint venue. It's a tiny county hall, all wood. It feels like a church with no pews and has a bar and a two-lane bowling alley in the basement! The openers for that date, The Cellars, are also worth checking out. An excellent local band. Yorkville Records
Feedback from the shows so far has been very solid. The Spades & Matthew Barber are having a ton of fun on stage together and the odd oldy and goodie have been pulled out when they're all on stage. Hartamophone
You could even fit a Sackville date on the 25th...George's Roadhouse 67 Lorne St. 506-536-2320Paul Henderson - paul@sappyrecords.com or Mt.A pub (small venue though) email: sacentertainment@mta.caBoth venues that are near and dear to my heart. The Roadhouse would be perfect for a Spades gig, IMO.

At this point I don't know if I can make it given it's a school night.I'm figuring the doors will be at 8pm (which is when I'm aiming to get there), with Matt Barber on around 9pm, The Spades around 10pm, and the show over by 11pm.Aloha,Brad
AD
bradm i'd imagine that matthew barber is headlining, so switch those times around. just my hunch though
bradm
bradm i'd imagine that matthew barber is headlining, so switch those times around. just my hunch thoughThe Zaphod Oct. calendar lists the gig as "The Spades + Matthew Barber" (in that order), which makes me think The Spades are headlining, but you might be right.Aloha,Brad
AD
so it does. hmm. interesting. good for the spades then.
Dr. J
Not sure there's a headliner per se on this one. My understanding is that Matt will do a set backed by the Spades and then the Spades will do their own set being joined at some point by Matt as well.Looking forward to this one. I haven't heard a full set from the Spades since they were at Decuf last April. Seems like a long time ago. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces again as well. Big Wooly Mammoth
just called zaphods. dude said he expects the bands to start at 9ish. they weren't there yet, so he couldn't say for sure. he also said that on Mondays it's not a strict 11PM curfew since it's not that busy a night, so they'll have more leeway. snarfmaster C
dr.J's got it right - matt's startin it out with the spades as his band, then he'll join them in their set too. they were talkin like matt would start at 9, the spades at 10, working with an 11pm end. i'm looking forward to this. what a good combo
